Summoning is austrian black metal band. There are only two members in Summoning, they're Silenius and Protector. They are known of their lyrics, which often come from the Lord of the rings -trilogy. They got 5 "full" albums, and many demos and EPs. The first album was Lugburz and it was more heavy than the newer ones, which are more epic and not so "brutal"
Heres song called Lugburz.
And here is little newer song from album Let the Mortal Heroes Sing Your fame. Song is called "South away"
as you can hear, its more symphonic and not so agressive.
The new album is called "Oath bound" and in my opinion it's best. Its very melodic and hooked up in it. The song is "Land of the dead" and it's awesome, best song ever made by Summoning.
I would like to know, what do you guys like about this amazing band.. And i apologize my bad english skills.

Edit: Summoning also have the coolest logo I've ever laid eyes upon.
EDIT: Gotta say though that whole Oath Bound is an excellent album, but I don't really like their other albums at all, some songs from here and there, but Oath Bound's the only album thats sheer goodness
ever
Not many bands benefit from the use of programmed drums, and the keyboards are actually behind Summoning's percussion as well (debut album excluded), which is what gives the band a pretty big part of their signature sound which again flirts more with ambient and electronic music than metal anyway. There was supposed to be a new mcd, but the band apparently decided to wait and put together a new full-length. Looking forward to that...
