I think they can win Latvia and Czechs. They haven't played very well in last tournaments. This time they have better players, in my opinion.

personally I think russias lineup is pretty brutal, hoping for an all european top 3 once again, with Sweden coming out on top obv =)

you've got sick goaltending I'll admit that, but shouldn't be enough for a goldmedal. Wouldn't mind seeing a repeat of the final in Turin though =)

I hope that Finland wins of course, but to be honest I don't think that they've enough good players. Sweden can surprise, if they play like ~2 years ago.

lol, true iofs, fattade aldrig riktigt den uttagningen. Finns en hel del schyssta att välja mellan i NHL. Men om man ska tro beskrivningen på Eliteprospects så... :D

was thinking about getting Finland Miikka Kiprusoff actually, but decided to ditch him and some other top goalies in order to put Ovechkin in there (expensive as hell).

doesn't matter though, can't have fins on my team ffs, as a swede that's just wrong!

CAN and RUS are obvious favourites followed up by USA, FIN and SWE. it's a short tournament and every game after the group stages is crucial so you can't afford any mistakes. that's why I think that all of those 5 teams have their chances to win the gold

I think that USA will surprise (compared to their previous tournaments atleast) as they've got a very skilled team filled up with young rising stars such as Z. Parise, P. Kane and P. Kessel. R. Miller as their goalie has played an amazing season at NHL so far and should give them the opportunity to go far in the tournament

Finland Top 3!? This is a biased post.. !! =)

I do agree about USA though, Ryan Miller is really on fire right now and Parise has impressed me.. they could do some serious damage. I personally think Sweden has a more complete team than Finland and should do better because of it. But hey, if Kipper stands on his head like he should and you guys somehow manage to score some goals then anything could happen.

c'mon.. of course I put FIN before SWE on my list! seriously though I think that FIN and SWE got pretty equally skilled teams on paper.. but usually goalkeeping is one of the most important things in these short tournaments and I trust on Kiprusoff to beat Lundqvist :D

tho if we take sweden's luck aspect into account then they might be ahead.. :))

Lundqvist is shaky right now ye, but on the other side New Yorks defence is shit =D
"equally skilled teams on paper", not too sure about that. I don't see many finns on the NHL league leaders for points, not even top 20. There are two Swedes in H.Sedin and Bäckström in the Top 5. Don't get me wrong though, I think Finland has a pretty good team. Best overall goaltending in the tournament imo together with russia. I just feel obligated to nail Finland =)

btw, like five finns said we're lucky in this journal already, that made me laugh =D

you totally forgot the incredible and unexplainable good luck of Sweden, so propably u can just switch places with fins and swedes in your list. of course i hope Finland will do good but usually after game vs Sweden whole nation would like to commite suicide.

USA = Not gonna be in top 3
Canada = Always strong, gonna place top 3
Finland = Can be placed at top 3 with a little luck
Russia = Ovechkin cant play in country torunys, only NHLD:D:D:
