IRC connection prob

when i connect to irc it just spams me with this:

* Connecting to us.quakenet.org (6669)
-
* Unable to connect to server (Permission denied)
-
* Connect cancelled

:SSSSSSSSS how to fix that?

What quake net server are you trying to connect to? Try a different one!

it seems like im banned from irc... why would it say permission denied on everything

Try a fresh install and re do all the settings.
