Question about 120Hz stuff

So, I've had a samsung 2233rz on my other PC for quite some time and it's running 120Hz well with my 9800 gx2.
Well, now I also bought a viewsonic vx2268wm for the PC I watch movies with (and use for all other stuff).
And well, I tried to turn it to 120Hz, it takes a lot time and finally makes it but the screen is all blurry and looks like it only draws every 2nd line. And it's the same also when I put 100Hz.
So my question: is my geforce 7900 GT too bad for 120Hz on this screen? Or am I just too stupid to find some settings to change it?
Tried googling a bit, but didn't find anything, so I rather ask here for help :/

i m about to buy that one too asap...
hmm, I think that answers to my problem as well :S
but i got a Gforce 8800 gts
that will probably work
hopefully the parcel service will make it until friday :>
if nothing helps your gfx card prolly doesnt support it, though i dont understand why it would happen, imho they're talking only about 3D requirements, not 120hz ones
btw check if you have duallink cable
I didn't install this .inf thing yet because I didn't know how :$
I tried to put it to registry just by changing the ending to .reg, but guess I should google how to do it properly or then you can tell me :)
Does it say something on the cable itself if it's duallink or how can I know that? I'm using my old one atm, not the one that came with the monitor, so that might explain it. Gotta check if there reads something (both are DVI and look the same).
I think the 3d requirements mean ability for 120Hz because those ppl can't realize any other use for 120Hz but 3d :P
btw thx for help, really appreaciate it :)
Edit1 think I found out how to install the .inf (just with right click and there was option install). Didn't help so far, I still can't get 120Hz work. Or should I restart after that .inf?
Edit2 yay I got it working now :) It was because of the cable ! It clearly reads Duallink on the one that came with the monitor and there are more pins :D
it will add all high refresh rates for most popular resolutions, not just native one
but anyway I got it working now :) ! It was because I was too noob to realize the difference between the cables and only used the cable that my old monitor had :)
Big thx to everyone who tried to help and not only talk about music :) !
