FC Bayern News:
Bayern Munich could welcome back striker Miroslav Klose for their first leg UEFA Champions League tie against Fiorentina.
The 31-year-old missed Bayern's German Cup match against Greuther Furth and the 3-1 win over Borussia Dortmund but has recovered from an ankle injury in timely fashion.
Louis van Gaal's side will be confident going into the match with or without Klose, given an impressive run of form that has seen the four-time European champions go 13 games unbeaten.
The last 12 of those have all been won, and have seen the Bavarian club go joint top of the Bundesliga, separated only by Bayer Leverkusen's superior goal difference.
Fiorentina news
Meanwhile, Fiorentina's preparations have been far from ideal having struggled on the domestic scene.
Since winning Group E the Viola have stuttered in Serie A, falling to 11th in the table after losing three on the bounce.
Cesare Prandelli's side have not tasted victory in six matches and face a battle to regain their Champions League qualifying spot.
The Tuscany club also have injury concerns to contend with, including defender Alessandro Gamberini, who will be out for three months having undergone surgery on a shoulder problem.
Mauro Santana is also sidelined with a muscular problem and could miss the return fixture with Bayern on 9th March at Artemio Franchi.
