Bleach is shit after soul society arc, cant be compared to one piece or naruto, it lacks story, it's always about getting beaten up and then getting stronger somehow to save someone, it's always the same, the movies are good tough.
I'd recommend you Claymore, Hellsing, Higurashi series, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, Death note, Code Geass, Rurouni Kenshin, Neon Genesis Evangelion and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

If you like football anime, watch Aoki Densetsu Shoot! - that's an advice regarding all the people who have only watched Tsubasa. Even though I really loved Tsubasa, it just doesn't stand a chance against ADS! Oh, and Hungry Heart is great as well.

As for anime in overall, I've watched so many series that it's quite hard to just pick a few right now but I would highly recommend Death Note, Code Geass, Elfen Lied and Monster (<3) as they are the psycho-genre as one could say. And when it comes to shonens and just actions or comedy series- would take too much time to write down the good ones. If you're interested in my opinion about those- pm me. But be sure to watch the ones I spoke of above :p.

don't go for elfen lied overhyped imo. death note is quite okay and loved by many but i didn't like it that much. if you like sports you could try eyeshield 21 it's bout american football. some other cool series are hellsing (ova's and tv), berserk, monster, chobits, magister negi magi, zombie loan or love hina (but that's bit gayish :S )
