Well i'm in need of a new headset :

Budget : around 60-70 euros
I wanted to buy the steelseries siberia
Has anyone a better choice for the same prize or lower one ?

im pretty sure anything steelseries is quite good i just dont really like those neck head sets cause sometimes they hurt your ears.

Why's that? I have no experience with the Siberia, however I find the 5hv2 very comfortable and has good enough sound for gaming. According to the technical specs there isn't much of a difference, in fact the 5hv2 has better specs, not significant, but still.

spec is not all, yes 5hv2 is good for gaming, but thats all, absolutely useless if u want to use it for more than just sufficient sound quality while listening to ur favourite songs. Ingame i would rate icemat with 8(.5)/10 and 5hv2 with 8.5/10, practically no difference in terms of identifying sounds and direction where that sound came from. But in overall performance, in sound quality and balance is 5hv2 far behind siberias because 5hv2 just dont have basses. First I had Siberias, then i bought 5hv2 because i thought it will be better ingame + it will have better noise cancelling effect. But I was terribly wrong. So if anybody says that 5hv2 > Siberia, there is only one question, where it performs better? Ingame (if u want to enjoy ingame sound of games, for example in sp, once again 5hv2 is behind because of lack of basses, but in progame its ok) they pretty the same, in movies/music Siberias rox.

Headsets are terrible value for money in comparison to headphones & dedicated mic.

hd202 20-30 euro i think, nice and cheap, but if you want something better -> look at other hd's + buy random microphone
