Laptop just died! :<

God just struck down my laptop:( so i guess i have to get a new one, unless a CF nerd can solve it... i was in a game, it froze, then it restarted. But when it was starting it up, it said 'operating system not found' :( any nerds here can solve this shizz?

But if not, recommend a good laptop for like £425/€500?

Boot from Windows disk, see if you have any problems.

Hmm. It's probably a HDD fault. Don't bother spending 100s on a new laptop. Just replace the HDD.

How would you do that? I gpt the idea that laptops are pretty much one unit; you cant replace parts etc

Well you can replace the HDD. If you don't know what you doing, get somebody to do it for you (who knows how).

Well, it wasnt a laptop i just bought new hard disk; put it in my comp and play.
If you gonna buy new one all your files are gonna deleted you know that?
