1440x960 on CRT

hai guyz

was wondering if its possible to run widescreen resolution on my CRT monitor on fullscreen without it cutting away edges, right now im missing about 20% from both sides

way too used to my 800x600 res so thought about giving this a try for lan prac :S
the feel is really close to lan tft only problem is missing edges

i thought you have lcd..

anyway you can set it to that reso but wont be the same because crt's are 4:3 and lcd is 16:10. just change displayrefresh to 75hz and rmode 8, you will notice the difference :O

how should it be possible ? u will miss something or have black bars in any case the screen isnt just made to have a wide picture.

r_customwidth 1440 r_customheight 960 r_mode -1 but i guess u knew this already
u could lower the values untill it fits to your screen but u will have black bars on top then

its 1440x900 ..
and i dont see how you can play with that res on your crt without cutting any edges or messing up the pixels.

hmm works perfectly only by changing refreshrate from 75->85hz on ql and et even though my screen is still giving 75hz :D
although my monitor is making some crazy highpiched noise when running it like that

cant u change horizontal and vertical stretch on ur monitor controls if its a crt, to make it fit the whole screen.

Guess it will look weird though.
