new camera lense came this morning, right in time for the lan - its a bit heavy and makes me look like a pap but should be good in the dark conditions! ;]
it's a sigma 20mm f/1.8 for anyone that knows what it means! goes with my canon 50mm f/1.8 that I have currently :)
so if anyone is wanting team pics or w/e give me a shout I will be doing stuff like that on saturday/sunday, depending on the 'quiet' day, for a few teams already so happy to do more if people want one.
Ill be getting pics like I did at CC6 anyway of playing etc, I may be tempted to upload daily if I can be bothered to setup my laptop properly for the event too.
cu @ lan!

I would download the rar, but dont expect much I had the camera for ~2months and that is a stock lense, and as explained below gives some nasty effects when not using flash! :)
I'll be there tomorrow.
- Sigma 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC
- Sigma 120-400mm F4.5-5.6 APO HSM
have fun with your new lense..ehm which flash do you have?
any recommendations?
how much did you pay for the 20mm? and it's a prime lense?
some nice pics there you have, I may take some pics of the deer in london (richmond park for anyone who thinks deers roam around the streets x) - nice settings you have I guess, the flying bird seems to be a nice capture even with the no doubt fast flapping wings! :D guess I would have to learn some more stuff and get a new lense.
With prime lense I mean that you can't change the zoom.. it stays alltime at 20mm.
Yeah it's nice to take pics of deers because it's alltime different and they are moving so it's a challenge to take more or less perfect pictures. I wish you good luck ;)
nice nice !

- if you intend to buy a flash also buy a bouncer/diffusor (?) for softer lighting (dunno much about flashes though)
- for deer/wildlife photography you might need a lens with bigger focallength for obvious reasons. don't buy anything with a 10x zoommultiplicator (e.g. the 18-200 mentioned above), it's usually crap if you didn't buy a high-end one. if you have the money think about the canon 70-200/f4 (IS) series... partly depends on the camera you have though, a 500d or w/e with its small sensor might not be worth investing too much money into lenses... eventhough generally spoken lenses make more of a difference than the body.
when buying stuff, generally reed reviews from multiple sources and never listen to employees of general multimedia/technology stores
