50/50

or just bluff all the time
play a lot of hands and bluff much
If they aren't that good and you want to make decent money, just be patient untill you get decent cards and raise at the right times. Once you get big stack, you can play the bully and bluff your ass of!
Why change a winning game strategy? If your winning lots of money cause your TAG, why start playin LAG?

tournaments...
Parent
Dunno bout that, cashgame only.

But "what strategy to use vs them to win easy money? " Thought he was talking bout cashgame aswell
Parent
dunno, but what sense would it have to have big stack in a cashgame and start to play more loose? like it scares ppl :>

I think there's a small miscommunication atm.. :p

I myself play LAGbut @ 400NL, There's point playing LAG at like 5NL, which i assume his friends are about the same skillvl as 5NL ..

All i know, if you play tag vs fish its izi money @ cashgame, Dunno shit about tournaments, Only cashed $230 or smth once @ tourny, but thats it. Dont have the patience for it o0
Parent
just thought you would figure it out. and obv it's totally different to play looseaggressive(LAG) or loosepassive(donkeystyle) and @ supermicros it's all about limping, calling and minraising. LAG style just doesn't exist there.

E: that's why if you want to win (with friends it's usually isn't about money, tho), TAG is the optimal style when you can valuebet big and strong.

except @ omaha ! LAG @ 2NL ftw :D

I play plo 6max 23/16 which is very optimal and stantard for a tag player. I've played it with 16-18 vpip, too and it worked as good, but won't make you a better player.
Parent
Ohh i'm not an omaha guy at all, I do know 1 thing and its that you need to make atleast 3 good holdem cards, for it to be a good omaha hand but thats about it. I just love seeing flops with omaha, and turns, hate rivers though :<
Parent
it's more interesting game I think. nlhe is kinda rocky. in plo, people just do much bigger mistakes more often than not. such a valuetown.
Parent
It probably is yeah, but it always takes me like 5 sec to see what my best hand is XD
Parent
its a friendly game vs guys of which he knows aren't that good at poker.. ?

Why even bother coming up with all sorts of terms when you would have to explain them to him first if he can just take it easy kick back and enjoy the ride..
Parent
wut? I didnt gave him any "terms", I replied to your comment. Not to this topic.
Parent
that part was pretty much meant towards the other comments in this journal :)

As far as the "winning strategy" goes, winnings need to be used to get more winnings! (and also annoys the shit out of ur mates)
Parent
Annoying friends > Winnings indeed.
Parent
okido my bad :D
Parent
thats illegal to do
:DDDDDDDDDDDDddd

Fold fold fold fold play fold play fold fold fold play play fold.

Disclaime: I don't play Poker
simply play more hands than you usually would
opposite

play TAG, just wait u flop (prac) nuts since 90% n00bs are calling station, then just never slowplay your hand so ucan get max value

just don't bluff every time, poker-noobs tend to call everything and get lucky on the board. these actions can lower your stack in a short period of time.

make sure to play cards with potential (suited connectors for example) and raise with reasonable bets before they get to see the flop. the pre-flop stage will be important for you to maximize profit!

you have to read your opponents from the start in order to be successful. pay attention to the core points of their gamestyle, try to surprise them with unexpected moves. change your tactics while playing, to make it harder for your opponent to read you!

go for the bigger pots and leave the small ones out, quite useless to invest more chips of your stack for a lower amount of chips on the board!
if you realistically believe that you have the edge on the game, don't take too much useless stabs to small pots, bluff a bit less (if you do, you usually have to do 3 barrels since bad players are usually callingstations. it just sucks if they still tend to call at river when draws miss), -> valuebet big. <-
50/50 ask vanhis for further explanation
imo you shouldn't really have a tactic, just mix it up and show alot of hands and adjust
50/50 tactic obviously, works regardless of whether they are too tight, loose, passive or aggro

Fifty fifty is simply unexploitable and maximally exploiting at the same time, provides the highest rate and probability of winning in every situation

PRAISE THE 50/50
still playing alot?
