Masters Of Hardcore

While you guys were stressing out, playing ET, drinking beers off-line, thousands of people went to Masters of Hardcore.

I'm considering of going next year to it.
Perhaps with legend Belgium Gero

Parent
LoL gonna write emo songs and sing them by the bonfire? Way to go! Yeah doing not bad in here, started again with tha band (we didn't rehearse since xmas >.> ) and uni has become a little less pain in the ass this term.
Parent
sounds good :D gief me a tape of your scumband
Parent
K if we ever record one I'll send you some stuff :D
Parent
Agreed, but I feel the same way about dark metal and grunting and shit.
Parent
Yeah, well short people have problems with that :D But fo real you won't start listening to the most extreme shit right away. I also thought that Death Metal and Grindcore don't make any sense and are just mindless noise but then I started to listen to heavier and heavier stuff and in some time I was totally into that stuff as well. You just can't take the most extreme stuff at the beginning - the dose of extreme music should increase steadily ;)
Parent
like that is any difference with techno.. difference is that electronic music isnt bound to guitars and shouting humans.
Parent
I don't dislike electronic music at all, I listen to breakcore a lot, I also don't mind some dubstep or jungle going on, still techno is way too simplified for me. It doesn't carry any musical value which I would like. The difference is that in extreme music you can actually dig out a lot of good stuff when you get used to the harsh and heavy sound of both instruments and vocals. And what would I have to get used to to dig out good stuff in techno?
Parent
techno is good, this isn't even music though.
Parent
not everyone likes metal or stuff like that
Parent
what the fuck

When you're about to discuss music with other ppl it's hard to avoid classifying stuff into genres... Also it's very helpful in some cases, like when you wanna compare for example swedish and norwegian black metal scene it's totally obvious that swedes don't stand a fucking chance, and due to what can we state such things? Genres! Obviously it's silly to use genres to set limits to yourself like "I'll only listen to dubstep and nothing else so I double check every artist to be sure he doesn't put any breakcore in his music so I can still listen to him"

norwegian death metal is awesome : )
