audiophiles plx

Since there are a lot of audiophiles in this community I'd to hear some reasonable advices towards headphones. The price should be < 100€ since I dont want to spent a living on them.

I am currently looking for the hd555, but I dont really know if its the best in that price range.

TIA

sennheiser hd sp II
audiophile / headphones / <100€ does not work
they are sure well aware of the mid budget sector aswell, like every halfway decent highend PC user knows about worse systems. :)

e: just saw your are using the 595, are they that good? because those would be the only headphones I'd pay the 30 euros more

im not really audiophile, but you check here http://iaudiophile.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=13 for some recommendations (100€ is low-budget for them)

hd595 are good, but maybe try to look at the headphones from beyerdynamic, Grado or AKG. Also I have heard that hd555 can be converted easily into hd595 but I wouldnt do that because of varanty.
I can give u some suggestions (besides hd595/555) after quick look at some eshops:
GRADO Prestige SR60i / SR80i
AKG K 142 HD / 172 HD
beyerdynamic DT 440
EDIT: 100e is not rly audiophilic budget :)

hehe pedophiles
depends what you want them for (genres, movies, etc) / how long you will be wearing them for / your own preferences

it's probably a good idea to sacrifice a little cost/quality in comfort if you're gonna be wearing these for huge periods of time (eg, if you'll be gaming with them)

these should have some decent stuff in your price range if i recall correctly:
audio technica (i have some ad700s and they are AMAZINGLY comfortable / great soundstage for gaming / not as great for music but still solid)
akg
beyerdynamic (clown had some DT990pros iirc, and i really thought the sound was good for gaming too)
sennheiser (not a fan of sennheiser bass)
dont forget to mention that its useless to get any kind of expensive audiophilic headphones without top-notch soundcard and in many cases without amplifier
Parent
at the budget he is looking at, amps aren't a necessity, though they would probably improve sound it does not make the headphones "useless"
Parent
i didnt mean headset would be useless without decent soundcard or amplifier, but its useless to buy expensive headphones when u cant get the full sound experience out of it. With integrated (or cheap) soundcard some audiophilic headphones sound even worse than some low budget headsets. For example, on my notebook Icemat Siberia sounds better in some ranges than hd595 or audio-technica ATH-EW 9.

Ad700 an amp isn't required at all as they sound better than most headphones unamped.

gaming, I got pc151 but they dont fit around my ears and I can hear still everything else around me, like when Iam hitting my keyboard or anything else.

AKG 10000%
look for AKG
audiophile and < 100 e just dont work together
I'd pick sennheisers with every budget, so surely hd555 sounds like a good option

and I'm kinda of an audiophile, or at least I got many expensive headphones :P
without a shadow of a doubt sennheiser MKII HD25. you will see that 90% of self respecting DJs use them too.
they dont seem really comfi plus the look like shit
Parent
they are extremely comfy, yes they dont look so flashy but they are the best

I got THESE Sennheiser Rs140's, response is great and a great upgrade from my speedlinks (even though the senn were more general use). Being wireless they worked well all around the place without any feedback/noise + no annoying sibilancessssssssssssssss
