Good morning EuropeCrossfire

It was of course the start of the Formula one season yesterday. With Michel "shoemaker" making his return to F1 after a 3 year absence! Who is going to have the pace in the qualifying?! Will Hamilton and Button be a good match with there new car?!

how is the car of schumacher and kubica?

possible to beat ferrari and mclaren? ( or was it mercedes?..confused lol)

Schumacher wasn't near the speed of his team mate, Kubica wasn't as special as I expected, but Red Bull and Ferrari are looking good, McLaren don't look too bad either but not near the speed of Red Bull or Ferrari, or at least on this track.

I can imagine the whine against Virgin/Lotus/HRT after tomorrows race, they need to do something to keep them away from the real racing, unless they suddenly manage to gain some speed, my crystal ball shows an big accident incoming.

Lotus getting new car at 5th track. now theyr using old toyota.

btw. red bull / vettel will take the champion this year, ferrari is fast also but theyr getting into war since alonso is loosing to massa :D. and when schumi gets used to driving might roll rosberg and others ?

New teams are struggling a lot, but also the gap for the other teams to the topteams has opened up.
To be fair the time differences on this track are magnified by the length of the track. Almost two minutes a lap is retarded. I really don't understand why they are using that retarded infield. The old layout had a good flow and with a laptime of 1:30 it definitely wasn't too short. The new part is crap, very bumpy and only mickey mouse corners.

Looking forward to tomorrow, it's gonna be a hell of a job to drive the ultra-heavy cars. I really hope we'll see some good overtaking manoeuvres, cause tbh I'm afraid it could become a boring race with only one pitstop and hardly any overtaking.

Well, they don't have to stop for fuel. Calculations are that the soft tyre will make it for about 15-20 laps. Since the race is only 49 laps, it's probably doable to drive 30 laps on the hard tyres, also because the car gets lighter. So 2 stops max imo, probably only 1.

Dunno I think they will go 10-15 laps on soft then long on hard then they will use soft again. so jeh 2 stops maybe enough

I hope so, cause with one stop it will be rather boring, cause there aren't many opportunities to gain positions.

It's pretty nice to see Lotus back, eventhough it's only the name. I hope they will get some speed during the season.
