I found an advertisment in my mail when I came from work today, as I was bored and taking a shit I decided to browse it and to my surprise I found this.

a 'Pedometer' is actually a device for measuring the amount of steps you take, and derives from the word 'Pedestrian'.

words such as 'Pedobear' are actually misspellings of the prefix 'Paedo', which means to do with children, for example 'Paedotricians' and 'Paedophiles'.

Therefore, a simple Pedometer will not save you from 'Pedobear'.
