yoyo does anyone know any good sci-fi authors or books? havent read much of the genre but would like to.. suggest to me your favourites plz :d ^^

Yeah you're right kinda difficult to say IT'S a sci-fi book but pretty similar though.

I read Cat's Cradle last week and I liked it a lot! What book from him would you recommend next?

Slaughterhouse-five, Galapagos (perhaps my personal favourite) and player piano is kinda nice too, something like 1984, or close to it.

Try Alastair Reynolds. A good book to start would be Pushing Ice as it's a standalone story.

try Dan Simmons, hyperion is my favourite,also Lem is great, but hard to read tbh
