Thats just what I heard can be totally wrong

But i already find their reasoning totally laughable :D
(á la - 'those games are bad, tv shows etc. have a bad influence at our children and should be banned' :D
To some extend I'd agree on some tv shows, but still there's nothing proving that playing those games has a bad influence on your behaviour life or what ever...it simply can has a bad side effect - e.g. you not going to work, be frustrated spend all your money on it or what ever it might be. BUT that can happen if you get too involed with anything possible...gambling, sports, etc.)
