thats what i thought first too, but after i started watching it some weeks ago i find it pretty good. not better than Blue Mountain State tho :))))
and u must see Sons of anarchy and flash forward, simply amazing.

dexter is by far the best show there has ever been. The plot, the characters, each episode bringing something new and ingenious to the table, the dialogues, all win.
