What's wrong with PB?

It doesn't make the game unplayable. Everyone was playing just fine with PB on half a year ago.

It probably doesn't detect any new hacks, but there's one important feature it provides:
YAWN. Yawn, yawn, yawn, yawn, yawn. And also manual busting because CB rules are retarded: You can't identify ANYONE without pbguids because "CB doesn't use ETPro guids since years" -> You can practically cheat as much as you want to, and after someone makes thread you can claim it wasn't you because there was no PB on and someone spoofed your ETPro GUID.

PS: Where can I get cracked etBot?

PPS: From this point onward I will only accept to play matches with pb on for the lulz.

Also removing no-pb configs from servers might be awesome

I've always played with pb just fine. Yeah I agree it lagged a bit, but not that much for me no.


btw use some random pub hack, since you wont get kicked by pb anymore. :S

PB hasn't detected a new cheat since Summer/Early Winter 2009, think the last hack it detected was some old version of WNX or Ultrix/2008 cracked etbot.

and it lags/freezes/fpsdrops,999 up, and it is scanning your whole computer and breaking your privacy, fucking pnkbstrA and pnkbstrB

Enabling PB = Enabling PB Services and thus the scanning.

The only way to stop the scanning is to disable PB.

It's an integrated part, you can't just remove it, it's on the master server data.

Well, I can vividly remember playing every war with PB on and yawning everybody and there was no problem anywhere. Then somewhere in late 2009 everyone suddenly had no PB.

Yawn isn't provided by Punkbuster :p And PB guids can be changed too. Backup your old etkey and request a new etkey ingame. Spoof your ETPro guid and change the cl_guid with CvarSet or some random cvar unlocker.

ET lacks decent identification... And PB went wrong by creating those 2 constantly running processes (PnkbstrA & PnkbstrB) which eats CPU...

PBGuids can't only be renewed, they can also be spoofed.

But concerning amount of problems, pbguids has less than etproguids.

I mean like really spoof it. Not just sending false packets. You can create one yourself, the algorythm is relatively simple compared to the one for etproguids. Then again, etproguids are flawed...

lol. The algoritm isn't simple at all :p and retrieving false packets should result in a fully spoofed pb guid anyways :) ETPro guids is a hardware serial key, you could easily spoof it by sending your own guid and block the original one

Yawn doesn't work with ETPro guids - or it does, but nobody will go through the pain to /condump guids, minimize, open browser, copypaste 5 players' guids into the website and be greeted by a single name.

Major PITA compared to the quick /yawn that you could do in every random IRC match a few months ago.

it does and the only way to check pbguid is with /condump aswell

and you can only download Yawn client .exe and in-game open your console and type "/yawn" and it will save all the etpro guids + pbguids + previous nicks every guy on the server used and it will save them on the site

My arguments have been polite and correct for the whole time, whereas others only make ridicilous claims with absolutely no explanation done, usually combined with childish insults.

I just launched my game and joined a server that had PB enabled. At first there was some lag as it initialized the processes, but after some 5 to 10 seconds it was all gone. No warping or anything odd. Stable 125 fps everywhere. Ping was normal.

I cannot see your point.

There are a few servers ( played on 2 so far) that are playable with pb on, pretty much every other server is unplayable for me with pb on

You can still use YAWn!, just tick "scan for ETPro guids only" and not "PB + ETPro Guids", dont know the exact name since I haven't used it since ages but it works...

The PB update causes PB to use a large amount of processor % (especially on older computers) while taking PBSS's - which causes small lagspikes every few seconds until it's done. Get your facts straight, please.
