Now that EC winner ENSAM was finally busted http://www.crossfire.nu/?x=journal&mode=item&id=96439 I feel like revealing the true face of mASCULINE_mans...
In late 2008 mASCULINE_mans turned from a for-fun community into a real, hard gaming clan in a matter of days. From zero to hero, one might say. How was that possible? With cheats. Let me tell you why.
Sample was a very powerful rifle engineer, genuinely top level. He was always pissed off when other people failed to follow his footsteps, trailing behind in aim and game sense skill... Sample had to carry the whole team. He was irreplaceable for the team - the only single thing making the Mans a med/med+ team instead of low/low+.
One day, after a particularly embarrasing defeat to a clan including Humm3l (still undefeated to this day...) he said to his fellow teammates "that's it. I'm leaving this sinking ship" or something to that tone. The whole Ventrilo channel was like "DON'T DO THIS! WE'RE SORRY! WE'LL GET BETTER!" afraid of the team falling into below-medskill-level again. But Sample had already waited long enough for the others to improve. So he said the words that later devastated the whole Enemy Territory scene...
He was dead serious. Sample was sick and tired of carrying the mANS, so it was about time for the others to improve their game. One way or another. He gave the team one week to find the most powerful cheat, and he would then review their NEW skill...
The poor students couldn't afford decent bots like rsHook so they turned to ask help from a fellow Fintard coder, and all players bought a multihack for 10€ each. Everyone used the wallhack and some used different scales of aimbot. Norecoil (humanized) and no-screenshake was obviously always enabled (did someone believe I was a clean sniper? HAHA!)
The mANS performed excellent with the new cheats. We spent hours configuring the hacks on an empty server, and Sample jugded everyone's aim individually. Some had to use very high settings because they wouldn't pass Sample's aim test which required solid headshot aim with 40% accuracy...
After a few months of playing, the mANS got very skilled of using the bots. As Sample was now the weakest link of the clan (the only clean player), he bought the same bot, and became one of the most feared riflenaders of the whole ET.
After two EC victories, 9 months of full-scale official cheating and an ocean of salty tears, it's time to tear down the curtain.
<sMOKENINJA> Some people buy cigarettes, some people buy bots, I buy both actually.
