PCI-E graphics card

Basicly i got a PCI Express 2.0 graphics card:

ATI Radeon HD5570

My PC has a PCI express x16 slot.

i connect the card fine then turn PC on and the monitor wont connect. So this has gota be a MB or PSU problem. wonder if people can idenfiy the exact problem.

my motherboard is:

Motherboard manufacturer's name: ASUS P5LP-LE
HP/Compaq name: Leonite-GL8E

if i cant get it to work , guess il just get a refund from it.

cheers

edit: my power supply is 200-240 W, epic , so its the PSU

blast it with piss
and i take it you have connected the necessary power connectors to the card aswell? -.-
maybe that PCI Express slot is not 2.0 avi yet?

You should try if there-s some BIOS/Firmware update for your motherboard
2.0 has nothing to do with it. Its mostly backwards compatible. Only really old pci-e motherboards can have problems. But there arent too many. This one is to new for that kind of problem.

Sell it to me:)
Check the changelog from the available bios updates and see if there's something like your problem fixed. Worked for me with my 5770 and P5N-E Asus board.
What kind of PSU you have? You have Compaq pc so i assume its some low-end PSU. Thats just enough to run the default configuration of that machine.
how i check what PSU i have for the PC?

ATI Radeon™ HD 5770 System Requirements
PCI Express® based PC is required with one X16 lane graphics slot available on the motherboard

450 Watt or greater power supply with one 75W 6-pin PCI Express® power connectors recommended (600 Watt and two 6-pin connectors for ATI CrossFireX™ technology in dual mode)

yea its doubtful that this PC has a 450 watt power supply its 3 years old
