The Cheater Paranoia is still excistant. Not everyone who's a good aimer or overall skilled is a cheater. People tend to whine to fast. Not to sound arrogant, but I experience it quite often in 3on3's.
Same for some guy called pninja, he had to change his nick after not being able to find a single war anymore.
Generally I agree with you but I haven't played much "skilled" unknown guys in the past due to everyone that would have had the aim to be skilled was just dumb as fuck which just makes the possibility of them being cheaters a bit more likely. And that case, all aim, no brain, occurs A LOT more in the past. (not saying that it's because of nopb however)
Everyone just seems to look at damage and not the other qualities a player should have.

PunkBuster lags have got NOTHING to do with the perfomance of the computers. I could play Crysis at the highest details, same for CoD4 and ANY newer game and I'm not able to play ET without having lags? Yeah, I guess you're right, it's definitely my computer.
Didn't even experience such lags with my old computer which was utterly shit compared to the one of a casual gamer. Operating systems I've tried: XP,Vista,Linux Mandriva
