no it is losing weight everyday
probably, maybe shit like asteroids or whatever. Cant see how it can lose weight considering the law of conservation of mass
no it always stays the same, as weight never leaves the earth but only redistributes
it actually does gain around 40k metric tons a year
actually a bit less than that :p it gains mass from space rubish that bombards Earth :p it loses some of the atmospheric gases aswell but its nothing compared to what it gains :)

In plant-eating vertebrates, the main function of the appendix is to help digest a largely herbivorous diet.
The appendix is (assumably) a vestigial organ left behind from a plant-eating ancestor.
