iPhone isnt marketed on being sensible, its marketed on being cool, and being extremely engaging and functional.
The same could be said about this phone, only with even more functionality. Intergrated flash support for example. Since adobe put two fingers up to apple this is going to be really desireable.
Open source OS too, so the phone is going to be highly customizeable i guess? Quite appealing to alot of people.
As long as the price is fair i'll try this phone for sure. :D
i dont think they have what it takes to beat apple, they're just not 'cool' enough or have enough support which people know about (apple has its famous itunes and apps stores for examples, im sure nokia has one too but i have no idea what it is and how good it is)
Dont think anything can beat iPhone. It probably doesnt have the best hardwars specs and they are outdated but who cares, it has smth in it. If I needed smth more for work, I wouldnt even buy touch cellphone
I'm really happy with my Palm Pre.
Multitasking, Flash, a really nice UI and mostly open source.
Yes, the Palm App catalog is pretty small, but I don't have the feeling I'm missing out on something.
+1
besides that people tend to forget it isn't the phone itself you want to kill marketingwise.
It is the entire image created by Apple around the iPhone.. It is the brand "iPhone" you would need to kill. So all you nerds stop talking about functionality, this is only a small bit of the product you are talking about.. talk more about the brand and the image. And in that Apple and iPhone reign supreme.
Nothing will kill the iPhone's supreme marketing and branding. Props to Apple!
Taking that brand one step further, it has an ease of use that no other manufacturer has come close to. My 12 year old neice can use it without instruction and my 65 year old mum has one. Neither of them care about the technical specifications of it vs another phone
true but then again that is what Apple and all their products are known for.. ease of use. It is one of their core values that make the brand. Same as design which is I think one of the most highly valued aspects of any Apple product. Especially when you consider the type of people in their target market.
the iphone isnt just a quality smartphone...
in fact its that popular because of all the effort that apple is constantly doing around it...
the appstore having uncountable amount of apps, all the updates and stuff...
i got a blackberry storm which basically aint a bad smartphone but BB aint compareable to apple
and i bought it :(
just wait till people all buy the same thing
I heard HTC is gonna take over as it is more openminded to programmers
all i practicly need is a touchscreen with motion sensor for games and fast inet

it was sold out at the shop so ill have it today/tomorrow
says enough
nothing so far will beat iphone..srry
*if ya can handle the heat it generated though
it can bash any iphone in 1s
<3 my google nexus one

Now I kinda regret I didn't spend the additional 100 Euro to get the Pre instead of my Nokia E75 :-(
(The E75 is a great phone but it just doesn't reach the ease of use modern touch phones got)
hd2?
haid4v3!
imo every HTC android phone is an iphone killer...
