Car ideas.

So i've finally decided to start taking driving lessons (due to the motivation from my uncle)

Once i pass my uncle has agreed to buy me a car and pay for the first years insurance on it. His willing to spend around £8000-£10,000 + insurance cost's (Seem's alot for a first car but given the chance anyone would take it)

The cars i had in mind are:

stop being a faggot and try to avoid using a car as a statusobject.

there is a shitload of pre-owned cars wit 115hp~ ... you dont need more anyways.

no i would go for a normal car and let him pay for that ... i sold my bwm and bought a small hyundai 4 years ago... and if it really needs to be a sportcar go for somthing without a wankelengine

What is the insurance alone on that thing? My daughter recently passed her test and the cheapest insurance we can find for a poxy Renault Clio 1.2 is almost freakin £2000,00... Goodluck!

Pretty much impossible to get one with a low amount of kilometers already on the car. If anything a car like a new VW Golf is a much better choice, since the prices even second hand are pretty good, because it's a popular car.

uncle bought a E38 740i with 224.000km
now he reached 400.000km (on highway mainly) and still everything is fine

rather go a car with 4 normal seats. 2 seated cars(maza rx8 is 2 seated, those 2 little things in the back arent seats) suck a lot if you have any friends. You are just useless, you cant go to trips etc.

And ofc the petrol usage, trust me, you rather pay less than drive faster. ( You can do that with a less powerful car anyways.)

waren auch gern mal 200 aber nicht nonstop ... der 3er was bj 1995 somit ziemlich alt und ich musste auch des öffteren öl nachfüllen :3

Bei mir verschwindet grad auch Öl.
Muss deswegen demnächst die Zylinderkopfhaubendichtung wechseln :(

When a young person gets a car, traveling across the country is prolly the most he does with his car. Even if you drive in your own city. You take friends to a party, you go to a party with friends, only nerds and emos drive usually alone ( Hey CF :D:D )

Had driving exam on 118d. I really disliked it. RX-8 isn't bad, but you have to worry about some stuff, it "eats" gas like crazy + after 150k km or so you might have huge engine problems. If it's a very new car, I guess you don't need to worry about it, but most cheap RX-8's already have pretty big "mileage" on them.
If you like Japanese cars, i'd go for impreza or lancer. But you can get something from european cars, whatever you do, my suggestion is to pick something fun. Don't buy some 5th series bmw or a benz. You'll have time to buy these old people cars later in your life :D

the Toyota Celica 2.0 got around 150hp and still manages to get a petroluseage around 10l on 100km on motorways ... around 8l in cities.

which is still somewhat affordable .

2. Honestly i dont give a flying fuck about what people think about the car im driving in. I want that car so badly because i love the way it looks, the way it handles, The way I feel when i step into one of those cars. Fuck random people i will only see once in my lifetime walking down a street.

Stu, If i was you, id choose a different car. The Mazda engine is pretty crap, and it is a massive juice eater. Your uncle may be paying for the Insurance and the car, but the juice (and when i mean juice i mean fuel) will cost you alot. Id personally go for something degrading, yet good like a :

Vaxhaul Vectra / Astra
Ford Fiesta / Focus
Volvo C30

These are quality cars, economical and cheap, and yes they look good and will get u pussy :_D xx

E : If you can find a Seat Leon for £10,000 (second hand ofc) id seriously take that.

Get an Audi A3 or something. Comfortable, reliable and still pretty quick. Plus the insurance on an RX8 would be immense and they have shoddy plastic interiors :(
