Cash made a post about the upcoming LAN in Copenhagen:

Moreover, there are many teams that have stated it will be coming on February 16th to Copenhagen, but are not officially confirmed as paying customers for the SHG LAN.

Teams such as the defusekids, who have arranged to come with an entire touring car of 74 gaming friends and fellow competitors at the event and Tek9.CoD2 have also stated it will attend the first major eSports event of 2007.

Call of Duty 2, Enemy Territory and Counter Strike: Source all feature 5,000 euro in prizemoney. CS 1.6 has a total sum of approx. 48,000 euro. Unique compared to any eSports event, SHG pays out its prizes immediately after the event.

Well, I am not active player (even though they take out "gran'pa" for a spin sometimes). The reason we are 7 ative is mailnly that we whant to be sure we got 6 during all LAN and secondly because it was those 7 that initially had the time and the money to go.

Our good k0wn.GiB would go too if we bent his arm, but we agreed that as we are confirmed 7, another player would lead to some one sitting on the bench, so k0wn saves his money and skillz for the next LAN.

Purely by the form book, #1 (idle) and #2 (zP) seem pretty certain, although zP are without butchji. (With butchji, zP's players actually have more cumulative ET LAN experience than idle's).

After that it's more interesting for 3rd - KiH have the names, but I've yet to see them play as well as they should; if dtekt play as well on LAN as they can online then they could take it; remedium also have a decent shot with a nice lineup. Add to that a couple more skilled mixes/teams and it's really pretty open. All these teams have a decent chance at 3rd, and the possibility of one or more of them upsetting zP, or maybe even idle, is most definitely there.

And then there's the locals, and GiB - if they're underestimated then they could cause upsets too...

ur right .. but don't underrate Kapow! too, since they play together for a while already

Thx for the few GL's and HF's for GiB out there. Clan GiB joined the LAN to get more IRL meetings and share the fun and passion for the game within our GiB "family".

As chocking as it may be, GiB did not sign up for the sole purpose to beat Idlee.ee or Point Zero. The mentality displayed in posts like that makes me sad. Instead of mocking non-high+ teams, we should be encourageing them. How would soccer survive if the only teams allowed to compete are champions leage tems?

I really hope more teams sign up. GiB will at least have fun, party and game as much as we can, promoting the game ET!

there isnt a limited amount of spots. The tournament layout will be adjusted to the amount of signups afaik

and i suppose you can probably sign up till like a week before the tournament or so? although it doesnt say anywhere
