The TotalGamingLeague is proud to present yet another ET:QW demo competition, the prizepools are amazing for a game not even released yet, however there are already various competitive teams active and waiting eagerly for the release of the game. The league will be focused on USA teams, well known names such as United States of America Team HOT, United States of America 20ID and United States of America Check-Six have already signed up.

The prize pools:

1. $ 2500 from Activision
20 slots Ventrilo for a year at NationVoice
12 month subscriptions to GameRail Network for six players
TBA by nVIDIA
TBA by Logitech
TBA by PCGamer

2. $ 1500 from Activision
20 slots Ventrilo for a year at NationVoice
6 month subscriptions to GameRail Network for six players
TBA by nVIDIA
TBA by Logitech
TBA by PCGamer

3. $ 1000 from Activision
20 slots Ventrilo for a year at NationVoice
TBA by nVIDIA

and another sponsor (or two) to be announced

One major drawback can however be found in the ruleset:

Well, suspecting a pattern I are:

ET:QW Beta 1 without antilag or prediction
ET:QW Beta 2 with prediction but still no or at least, very basic) antilag
ET:QW Demo with prediction and antilag

Well, I don't think bad fps is a bug in the Doom 3 engine, its just one of the best looking engines ever :P With everything set to low in ET:QW Beta 2 I still get around 60 FPS which is enough to play with for me at least...

played on a good sevrer? and not just shit i3d and rackage servers? i get 120 stable with low gfx on a 7800gt on multiplay servers but on bad servers it can drop to 60-70.

my specs in profile. I guess I havent tried so called good servers then, dont really play it much cuz I dont like it that much. its better than beta 1 but still, the map is awful and the gameplay is not my style.

They never said they made ET:QW mainly for competitive gaming, that would be the most stupid idea ever. There are way more casual gamers and even clan players who dont care about competition that much. I think more than 90 percent of a commercial game's playerbase consists of people who play / ordered it to have fun.

I like to play Valley on publics, it has all ET:QW has to offer (concentrated outdoor + indoor + vehicle combat). Everyone will like something in this demo so much he will buy it to play the maps which are dedicated to that part of the game.

Only worthwhile thing for public is if you are a tanker, or if you want to practice railgun. Rest of time spent on public Valley is a waste and doesn't help anything.
Picking Valley for a 2nd time is stupid if they wanted players to move from W:ET - however can we have some cash prizes please :P

- Smaller development costs

(Reasons why making a game for competition is not a stupid idea. I could list games which have already gone down this route if you need.)

Let's not forgot that ETQW has no single player and yet you still think they weren't marketing the game as a competitive entity? xD
