Today the Gamestar Liga has announced the prizes for their upcoming season, the games featured as "main games" are Unreal Tournament 3, Guild Wars, Live for Speed and Starcraft: Broodwar - next to that the league will host Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars and Tactical Ops: Crossfire with supported competitions.

The tournament will feature 16 teams from all over Europe in a one group competition - the four top teams will then play each other in the finals to win a part of the prize money.

The prize money for the Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars league is 1175 € in total;

500 EUR prize money
350 EUR prize money
200 EUR prize money
4th 125 EUR prize money

Doubt that. ESL Major Series is ten times better than a tournament like this and features more or less the same amount of prizemoney. Are there even ten top teams competing in ET:QW? ;p

But ET:QW had a ESL EMS and will most likely get a another season (looking at the success of the previous edition), though the last season conflicts with this new season, so that shouldn't make a difference :P

With successful I mean there were enough good teams contending and the coverage was great - in my opinion the ESL EMS is about quality and not quantity

The decision of which game will get the next EMS depends on how the ET:QW community is developing, I would say.

yes, nothing new in it.. (ok, for those who only read xfire this might be a totally new news :D ...)

the only thing which is really new is that the start of the new season has been delayed to 24th of March due to techical issues. everything else was already mention in this news or at the GSL Opening.
