EuroCup: group D final

Group D has so far this season for me turned out to be one of the most thoroughly upsetting groups I have ever witnessed in the history of ET EuroCup (I smell some nostalgic comments coming up!).
From the start
Vicious and Evil have definitely been favorites to come out on top whereas 
FearFactory X-Fi and 
Cortana were to fight it out for the second place leaving 
ephix at the bottom. Nothing has been more besides the truth though as right now only FearFactory is certain of a playoffs spot and ephix tonight have it entirely in their own hands to get the second spot.
Moreover, v&e will even bow out completely if ephix manage to get the better of Cortana tonight, allbeit with either 4-0 or with a decider. So,
ephix obviously have it all to do tonight and I for one will be very interested to see how things will end up for this group. First, though, we will be starting off the evening with
Tag taking it up against FatGames. Group B has been lagging behind and has a lot of catching up to do. Tonight will be the first of three matches that still need be played for this group.

Impact-Gaming will be going through to the playoffs and dESIRE won't be doing so. Which two teams and in what order will end up on top of the group none can tell yet. Tonight will decide quite a lot though because if
FatGames, like most are expecting them to, will grab a 4-0 win over Tag, it will mean that FatGames and Impact will be battling it out for the first spot later this week. kot had the following to say regarding their game tonight:

ephix - snailAt half past nine the game that none expected to be important but which has now turned to be the game of the group will take place. There are still three teams running for the right to play the playoffs and only of one of those can we at this point be certain we will see them back after the groupstages.
Cortana, who have already effectively lost all chances to go to the playoffs are known to be a very sportive team and will surely be playing at their best tonight once again. So far, their best has been rather disappointing though as against everyone's expectations, the team was literally steamrolled by the Poles of FearFactory. We have all witnessed before that the team has what it takes to go a long way though and if they manage to get it together for tonight they do indeed have a very good shot at a win. ephix on the other hand have perhaps been the most surprising team this season. Their lineup does not quite show a lot of experience one might think but their chemistry and determination have brought them a very long way and right now they are in an ideal position. They still have a chance to end up on top of the group and they have it all in their own hands. Whether they can handle the pressure that is being put on them we will know after tonight!To end up with I asked

my turn to ask you, did you watch the game?
on adlernest by just looking at times you could say they overrun us, but they just had 1 lucky attack which won them the map (typical adlernest)
on sw_gr we pretty much fucked up the tank defence, but then they had that luckiest support of the year which made us to fall back to bank defence straight away from tank defence. still we managed to hold off pretty decent time and our attack went pretty smoothly until last stage where they somehow managed to hold us without any real positions and really mixed up defence
think it is mostly enough to have a pretty good picture.. besides everytime i say "unexpected" or "against all predictions" i'm not basing myself on a few randoms i'm basing myself on all the comments posted prior to the eurocup by everyone on this website.
