ET 5on5 SC - Last chance! (to signup LOL)

After this intense Enemy Territory EuroCup and OpenCup season will come to an end sometimes during this week, another amazing ET competition provided by our beloved Europe

Clanbase will kick in! With many teams losing their players to hot summer weather or Clanbase banlist, 5on5 is a great opportunity to enjoy this game during summer even without full 6 player lineup.

*UPDATE*

Great success! 157 teams signed up before deadline hit.

Today (June 18) is the last chance to sign up for the ET 5on5 Summer Cup! Signups will close at midnight so be quick if you still want to compete.

So far a total of 143 teams have signed up.

Clanbase also will announce maplist for this season shortly and there will be changes from current OC maplist, so expect some surprises!

5o5 is quite good btw.

funny layout, write more news in the future.
ET is getting to it's end, but the amount of signups are being influenced way more by the fact that its summer now and its 5v5. besides, there are no real competition events going on which teams could prepare for. it's still a long time till 'cdc5' etc.

summer cups seem to attract less teams in general, CoD4 had 1000+ last OC and has around 350 in this summer cup

153 so far. Enemy Territory got more teams than Counter Strike, Counter Strike: Source and Team Fortress 2. Only the Call of Duty series can compete with us ;) Ah, and ET:QW got 19 teams!

ET:QW wasn't an official summer cup for whatever reason, even as hosted cup it gets more signups than an official TF2 summer cup for example :<
you missed 10 teams btw seeing there are two hosted summercups for ET:QW

Sainted, as much as I respect you a as person, there should be one point to stop defending ET:QW which had been a game I would have loved to succeed. But for what ever reason, this game failed competitively. Let's hope for RtCW2 or what ever it will be called.

had about 90teams and now in 5o5 format they have over 150

ClanBase just made harder to find 6o6 for the summer. We are praccing 6o6 and we cant find enemy. :-/

I didnt say thats your fault, but that this format can help W:ET a lot. See number of signups, new mixes etc. Just try it and you will see. Its easy to say that sux, but if you try it then you can judge this. Btw I want new fragmovie from your production! :)

Oh wait a minute ! I didnt say "it sux" I am just sad because its harder for us. We would like to play on the next lan (if there is one) and we need strong oponents, but if summercup steals all our enemies than its impossible. We wont play 5o5, no point just for have fun for nothing. I doubt this is the future of enemy territory, we - the community- tried once and it failed as far as I know. So what would be the next step? Next summer cup format is 4v4 or what ? :-)

I wrote long and great post, but when I want to post it I misclicked and did backwards.... OMG! But you must believe me that 5on5 can be great for W:ET! ;) LANs should be 5on5 too like Quakecon or PGA and everything will changed smoothly believe me. Its all about motivation, if you will do great cup 4on4 with some prizemoney, well done COVERAGE, ORGANIZING - people will play it. that's the way the cookie crumbles!
