We are pleased to announce the first WinterCup hosted by ClanBase and supported by YCN-Hosting. With GoldoraK and iMmi as Cup Supervisors and Killerboy as supervisor aswell. Your Enemy Territory Crew hopes to be positively surprised by the number of signups again.
This season we are proud to announce that YCN-Hosting will be sponsoring the ClanBase Crew with a matchserver and will be available for free use for the community on GamesTV.
This season will have remarkably many changes. Please let us go through them from the beginning.
First of all, it will no longer be a 6on6 tournament. Back to the old 5on5 fights.
Secondly, all clans will be fighting firstly in a groupstage and after in playoffs. Depending on number of signups, teams may participate in single or double elimination. We are also thinking of hosting the format in SummerCup mode instead.(SummerCup had no groupstage but double elimination knockout stage instantly)
Since this is a Hosted Cup we do not need to follow the global rules and thus making the cup more user friendly and can give what the community wants much easier. thus the following:
And last but not least, Cup Supervisors have decided to change mappool pretty much in order to have a good feedback and trying new maps for the 5on5 switch and before selecting maps for next EuroCup / OpenCup season:
Maps will be forced, cointoss procedure will decide about decider map if needed. Clans will decide about maps on their own only in the Great Final of each league.
After necessary presentation, we can officially start the signups from 13.00 CET!
We will publish the playoff trees or groupstages on ~26th January. 1 Febuary the first matchweek starts.
As usual, we are requesting for active admins and decent writers. Please, apply only if you are going to give necessary support. Inactive admins will be removed.
We wish you a pleasant season!

Since this is a Hosted Cup we do not need to follow the global rules and thus making the cup more user friendly and can give what the community wants much easier. thus the following:
- No GV streaming on GTV Servers
- Clans can decide in not using GV Streaming when both clans agree.
- Clans can decide in not using PunkBuster when both clans agree.
- Clans can allow the usage of a "merc" when both clans agree.
- Clans playing with a person having a wrong pbguid will not instantly result in a forfeit loss, instead the pbguid used will be crossreferenced on ClanBase or Crossfire in order to prove the player was not a random merc but their own clanmate with a wrong guid.
And last but not least, Cup Supervisors have decided to change mappool pretty much in order to have a good feedback and trying new maps for the 5on5 switch and before selecting maps for next EuroCup / OpenCup season:
- adlernest
- bremen_b2
- coast_b1
- et_ice
- haemar_a11/b1 (depending on which is released latest)

never heard about these maps and haven't ever played missile either. can anyone tell me if they're any good?
anyway i dont get it,they are more and more decisions taken without even staring at players opinions (such as 5on5 format ect...), thats sad because those kind of events are made for players...
That's why the "fight". From my point of view, it's just a fight of ambitions... few CB admins are interested to have their players happy, most of them just want CB active, they don't care for the players or for the competitions.
Really doubt that.
Stop with bullshit like play witheout PB and other shitty stuffs, rules are rules, stop the world and save the cheeleader.
I like it. Every match with pb :). Too many detected bots is using on pcw atm.
and the et-part in esl is in english ....
The 3 "latest" maps missile, haemmar and coast....
haemmar and missile are too big even for 6on6, for 5on5 is just pure shit, coast is a decent map though. Is good that you add new maps, now bring 6on6 back and stop this 5on5 joke before is too late.
but do it 6on6 :/
:D
Missile pawns
