CB: EC & OC Signups Open!

ClanBase is proud to announce the start of the Fall 2010 Cup Season. The signups are open right now and remain open until the 12th of September. The Enemy Territory ClanBase Admin Crew has decided to host yet another EuroCup and another OpenCup in 3 different formats for the community.

Cup information

The ClanBase Enemy Territory Admin Crew has reviewed the past EuroCup and OpenCup rules and improved them, while at the same time removing any misconceptions. The updated rules and changes will be posted next week along with the map list.

We have also decided that it doesn't make sense for the most prestigious online cup in ET to function without a decent anti-cheat, and therefore we can confirm that SLAC has been forced for both EC and OC. A Linux Client will be released before the cup starts, anti-virus problems will be fixed and the new SLAC website will be published (along with the banlist), MAC users will also be allowed to play after following a procedure we will post along with the above.

We have also agreed to be much stricter this season and we will be following the rulebook word by word, no exceptions will be given unless stated otherwise in the rule book, we don't like giving yellow/red cards so be sure you read and obey the rules so that we prevent unnecessary problems in the future.

imo both ESL+CB Newsposts should be stickied until signups close, this way both leagues can get more clans, and it will be much easier for us to asnwer questions, rather than posting reminder newposts and stuff, also the IEM can be unstickied since it finished.

I wasn't serious at all. I share your opinion, I barely play any obvious cheaters. Many people are like "omg, there's cheaters in every war on irc I seek" or "50% or more cheats in random scrimms", but I have never encountered such opponents :<

i do play on slac, even though i haven't noticed any effectiveness yet.

however i know some players who stopped cheating or at least holded for a while so that's good (hi 2 wueses 8D). still i would like to see banned ppl instead of nothing.

tbh besides 3o3s i dont play competitively - some praccs be4 polish lans but this is it. still i'd rather play ems (ec is still more prestigious but doesn't rly matter for me).
