The NationsCup XIV qualifier matches begin today as at first Team Colombia will play against Team China at 17:00cet, then China will face Ukraine, and later on the Colombians will play against Team Ukraine at 19:30cet.
As you may or may not remember out of the three teams only the top two will proceed to the group stage which will be announced on the 21st of January.
In similar fashion to the playoff system each team will be able to pick a map out of the map pool before the match, and cannot pick the same map twice.
Team Colombia versus Team China
The first match tonight, which will kick off at 17:00cet sharp, will be between Team China who has never participated before in the NationsCup and is a real newcomer to the European community while on the other hand Colombia's last appearance was two seasons ago when they lost their qualifier match.

col are horrible, how did you manage to lose against them? :p

I believe you have quoted the CB ET Ladder rules, which has absolutely nothing to do with this tournament. Allow me to quote the relevant rules:
There is a slight chance that the pause time for each map was over 10 minutes as I did not use a stopwatch every time I paused the match, yet I doubt it was hours beyond that.
Secondly, a pause halts the game for both sides and effects the players equally thus I doubt it granted any special advantage to one side or the other.
Lastly, I hope you and the rest of the community do trust my judgment in which a paused match is better than no match at all. It is, after all, just a computer game; nothing more and nothing less.
I was not aware of the rule you quoted but it seemed to me that the Ukrainian team did not seem willing to find a replacement. In case a team is likely to have ping issues, the back up players should be ready to jump in the game and replace the lagging player.
Obviously, the ping issue occured several time and one of the UA players said he was trying to get a sub : the sub should ve already been ready, it looks to me like they were happy that you could pause whenever the player's ping went high and that they were just waiting for it to decrease again...
This attitude (that is my opinion) should not have been "rewarded" with extra pauses (tho it seems they are allowed) ; the referee should decide wether the lagging player(s) is/are honnestly using that pause to fix their problems (in this case, the back up player should have been ready and been used)
I hope my arguing is understandable
Good evening to you
tell me you're kidding, coz I can't imagine you being that stupid...
maan u did 2 full pauses@ forstbite( attack) so it means u paused for 8 min 20 sec
4 UA + 2 yours pauses @ frost = 6 times.
not sure if u paused 2 times@ supply.
UA pauses@frostbite(ua attack) took 1 min 50 sec, +your 8min 20 sec = 10 min 10 sec.
