eSport Challenge LAN: Signups Less than a Month Away

We are now less than a month away from the signups opening for TLR’s eSports Challenge which is due to take place at the beginning of July this year. A list of teams interested in the event can be found HERE.

We will be offering some of the 16 slots to teams on this list who we believe are the most likely to attend and compete in the tournament based on prior attendance to other events. So if you’re interested in attending the event message me here on crossfire with your hopeful lineup.

As far as tournament-specific updates go, we have made a change to the scheduling of the tournament and the format in which teams will compete. We can confirm the group stage will be best of 3 but in the case of a double full-hold on the deciding map the match will be a draw. This ensures we do not endure massive delays for the rest of the event.

Also Due to having a limited number of PCs available for use, the play-offs will be 1 of 2 styles:

• Single elimination play-off with single-elimination consolation play-off
  
• Double elimination play-off but NO consolation play-off

Once we have had all 16 teams signed up to the tournament we will open the vote to all participating players on which playoff style to use, the choice will be made by them and not us or anyone hoping to spectate. The top two teams of each group qualify into the main playoffs be it single or double elimination.
