EuroCup XXIII Invitees and Qualifiers Announced!

After a month of sign ups and meticulous evaluation it is finally time to disclose this season's EuroCup invitees and qualifiers.

Cup Format

EuroCup XXIII will have a similar format to last season's EuroCup with 4 direct invites and 16 Qualifiers.

The group stage will be composed of 4 teams per group, with 4 groups in total, for 16 participating teams combined. Qualifier teams will be placed in pools. Each group will consist of one team from each pool. Thus producing the following:

The 4 Directly Invited teams will be placed in Pool 1.
The 16 Qualifier teams will be split up into 8 pairs; therefore producing 8 winners and 8 losers.
The 8 winners mentioned above will split up into 4 pairs as well, the 4 winners from this split up will proceed to Pool 2, the losers will proceed to Pool 3.
The remaining 8 teams which initially lost, will be split up into 4 pairs as well, and the 4 winners from this split up will proceed to Pool 4, while the 4 losers will drop out of EuroCup XXIII and join the Premier Division of OpenCup Spring 2011.

The top 2 teams from each group will advance to the playoffs which will be played using the double elimination format. The playoff tree will be announced shortly after the group stage is over.

It's my fault, played last 3 months with smth like Carpal tunnel syndrome, my hand was in pain everytime i moved with mouse. I had to go to the chirurgy before a week and quited et forevah. Should've done that few weeks earlier. Soz iR & gl target in quali.

I hope u didnt rly have CTS (in fact, CTS doesnt cause pain, "just" numbness in fingers, lose of sense and feeling of burning fingers) and in case you actually have it, I hope results of ur surgery are better than mine, I had surgery (for CTS) 3 months ago and I still dont have full sense in my fingers, fingers are still constantly a bit numb eventhought I dont have that burn feeling anymore luckily. I have been told by surgeon that if my nerves were pressed too hard and/or for significant period of time, they can be damaged for good and I will never fully recover.

Yeah I don't really get this. Wasn't it usually Benelux clan vs Benelux clan, fin vs fin, uk vs uk, stuff like that. Why aren't RAAB, codelust or turbot playing against eachother. Also don't see the point in putting 2 high contenders as RAGE and idk against eachother and not against teams like target (no disrespect).

Some of my points about this EuroCup:

1. Finland

RAAB. good team indeed but they pretty look like a mix
2. Finland

codelust. good team but still have no potential to play EC.

(no hate to finish people just expressing my opinion)

3. Czech Republic

interaction. good players, they play really well as team and got a very impressive aimer, jalo + extra point (they play together for very long time)
4. Netherlands

target. good choice they are playing very good! 7ele as their superstar.
