EC: Changes in Qualifiers and Invitees

Team Dignitas, who came in second last EuroCup, have decided to resign and leave this EuroCup, as they do not have the time to participate.

This means their "Direct invite" spot will be taken by Rage Gaming ET who came in fourth last season.

In order to find a suitable replacement who will face I Don't Know there will be a match between inteRaction and nonpro - Wolf Crazy Kill.

Edit: inteRaction have decided not to play, WCK will play versus IDK.

Invitees and Qualifiers



Schedule

The first qualifier matches must be played until Sunday, the 3rd of April.
The second qualifier matches must be played until the 6th of April.

Maps

A qualifier match is played at least on 2 maps. Both clans select a map from the map list before the start of the match and inform the cup admin at least 30 minutes before the match is set to start. The admin will not announce maps until both teams have confirmed their choices with him/her. In case both teams have chosen the same map, the second map will be selected with the conventional method of map elimination, preceded by a cointoss. The admin will choose which map is played first.

Clans are forbidden to chose the same map, previously selected in their two most recent qualifier games.

Qualifier Matches and Players

1. A player may only play a qualifier with 1 clan.
2. Players who played for the winning clan in a qualifier will not be allowed to play for any other team in the cup (EuroCup + OpenCup) during the first 3 match weeks. This rule seeks to discourage players who do not intend to compete with the clan from 'helping' it qualify.
3. Players who played for the losing clan in a qualifier must first go through the new member procedure (as described in the Clans And Players section) before they can play for another clan.







Tonight, at 21:30 CEST, last season's champions – Finland – will face Belgium in the NationsCup XIV upper bracket final.

Tonight, at 21:45 CEST, the first qualifier match will go underway, between TURBOAPINAT and Ultraviolet Gaming. TA last season came in fourth in OC Prem, UV came in 5-6 in EC XXII.
