The time of lent comes to a close as many begin the devouring of hollow chocolate eggs. But these aren't the only things the four day Easter weekend has in store. Sunday evening treats us to what will hopefully be some high quality Enemy Territory action as the first round of the YCN Spring Challenge playoffs gets underway and the Eurocup group stage continues. Supplemented with casts from yours truly and Francis there will surely be something worth watching.
Kicking things off early are the fervent Finns red as a beetroot who take on the benelux based Power Gaming in the second matchweek of Eurocup. This is the Finns first game of the tournament unlike PG who took a 4-2 victory over Belgian Fraternity last week. So far every Eurocup game has gone to a third map and I think these teams might just be too close to break that trend.
Updated I challenged MerlinatoR to keep up his 100% prediction record. His thoughts can be found after the jump.
YCN's Spring Challenge sees underdogs teamoxid take on a strong Queens lineup with recent victories over Dignitas. The odds are quite definitely stacked against oxid but they do have the potential to put Queens to the test if they can nail their teamplay on the night.
Clashing at roughly the same time are to Make odds even and NORDIC-eSport, the new home of zZz Sleeperz. Word down the grapevine is that tMoe were once a part of NORDIC-eSports but were promptly removed due to disputes unbeknownst to me. Will a strong desire for revenge drive the poles to victory or will zZz defend the honour of their new organisation? Both teams claimed victories in their first Eurocup games, but NORDIC-eSport came out of their YCN group in a slightly better position. There shall be no comfort for the loser in this matchup, well... except for the loser bracket of course.
As the night falls we come back to the Eurocup, where red as a beetroot are also playing their wildcarded first matchweek game against Next Evolution ESC. NEVO recently shook things up by acquiring the talents of sNoOp and gifty, a move which on paper only strengthens their lineup. However new lineups do take a little time to settle, something which I suspect won't be affecting their opponents.

You'll be able to tune in to me live from 21:00 CET onwards with The Last Resort (by YCN-Hosting.com). I'll maybe do something pre-game if I can find people* to talk to or even cast with, else the first game will start at 21:15.
And despite the length of this newspost, I shall add a classic community prediction!
