Announcing the Next Evolution Heatwave Challenge, a tournament that will take place over the summer with the aim to have the lower bracket and grand finals to take place at PHX (as long as all teams are attending). Below you can find the format, the (tight) schedule as well as the prizes for the top 4 positions.
Tournament Details
Teams: 16 (4 Invites, 12 teams determined by Qualification)
Format: Groups & Double Elimination Playoff
Prize Pool: €500 (Courtesy of Next Evolution ESC)
Map list: Goldrush, Supply, Radar, Adlernest, Frostbite and Bremen
Sign ups open: 18th July
Sign ups close: 24th July
The sign ups for the tournament open on the 18th of July as outlined above, a news post will come with further details on how to do this. By signing up you agree to play all games in predetermined schedule shown below.
Prize Distribution
Prize distribution for the tournament will be as follows, as long as the tournament is completed on time. Delays similair to this seasons Eurocup will result in prizes being abandoned.

Below you can find the schedule. As you can see the schedule is quite tight and we will not be able to delay games for teams - so if you feel that you may need extra players in your team to make sure you have a lineup each game add extra players when you sign up.

People talking about a dead game, but to be honestly this game hasn't reached his peak yet! I'd be really interested in some kind of table or comparison with the activity of ET in 2005-2011. Prizemoney, 1-day-cups, Lans, ladderacitivity, Games-TV: Viewcount, etc...

im not saying its a bad thing, coz the system is fantastic. but the problem is, nobody wants to watch low matches. :/
