The Crossfire Draft cup is over!.The cup started as a small idea on a teamspeak by me and owzo, it eventually grew into something much bigger through the help of many people.The inspiration was the lack of competition in the et scene and after a night of entertainment and thrilling matches we have our champions. Clown came out on top and took the gold medal, with Night trailing just behind.

After some controversy earlier on, overall the cup was a success. It just goes to show anyone can do it, if you have an idea talk about it, try and do it, because all in all that is what will keep et alive!. This is the first edition of CDT and it was far from perfect, however we have learned where we went wrong and hopefully we will amend these errors in future cups. The date for the next crossfire draft cup is undecided but it is coming and will be better than before, sign ups will be open to anyone who wishes to participate.
According to the crossfire poll the most valuable player of the tournament was
Butchji followed by

I stick to my point about the matches being commentated and streamed by the commentator.
I thought it would be nice to see some good games on ettv. I was right. The most negative thing about your cup was your administration. I absolutely have nothing against each admin involved in this tournament but I just want to let you know some things that were lame...
When I asked
"You could both cast this game"
-> Knowing that ET isn't really active and ETTVs aren't really watched (Viewer Peak: 258 for the grand final) it's obvious that most of the listeners (and they arent so many) will prefer a "real" english shoutcast. There's no point for me.
I could stop here but this isnt it.
Later, I decided to forget that incident and shoutcast with Benjii in french this time.
The server was full. We went to the hub. Ok, nothing surprising. The most suprising thing is to have 1 shoutcaster + 2admins +1 free slot instead of 3 casters + 1 admin ( would be ok since 1 admin is enough to make decisions).
On a side note, if we tell you the server is full... it is! I may have some problems to read but I perfectly can read "Server is full".
It's nice to try to revive this game. But don't act like retards I expected another behaviour from the friendly people I knew.

They should understand it's not a good way to promote our game by splitting the coverage "team".

I have been disapointed for the final, when i was dual casting with Francis.
There was no place for us on the server, and i remind you that on the hub, even if there is only 2 or 3 delay seconds, we havent access to the stats (stats per player, etc...) and i think that some people dont know it.
Thx for the cup, it was generaly a good cup that i would like to watch and to shoutcast more often
As I've already said I think this kind of tournament is a good idea (even if it's not really watched compared to the "past" events). If you need me for whatever I'll be glad to help you out since I'm always ready to promote this awesome game. However, if you prefer working with the same people and don't accept any coverage from other guys (french community gamefrog.fr included) let me know it I'll mind my own business.
