Following the success of CDT1, the second edition of the Crossfire Draft Tournament is ready for the competitive ET community! Captains, Players and Spectators alike all seemed happy with the tournament. For those who didn't follow the first tournament:

Due to the mass complaints in the last tournament about no signups system, just pre-chosen players, we've made a signup for this tournament and those who signup will be listed here (unless you request not to be! then you can be *secret signup* - though all signups will be made public on Sunday 26th).
*You can sign up by sending a private message to
Artstar. Your message should read: "I'd like to signup for the Crossfire Draft Cup on Tuesday 28th February" or something extremely similar to save confusion*.

- In the private message, you're required to give a link to your CB and TZAC account.
- TZAC entered in your CB account must be the one that you gonna use in cup.
- There is no restriction on the age of your TZAC account depending on the ages of your CF/ESL/CB accounts (you will need to give these to me if you think your TZAC age is an issue).
- CB/ESL/TZAC Banned players are NOT allowed. (with acceptions)
- Some players may be turned down due to cheathistory
- Matches are BO3.
- All matches will be on ETTV.
- THIS IS A ONE DAY CUP.
- You are required to idle in #crossfire.cup
Instead of each team having a backup, there will be a backup poule of players who volunteered as a backup. You can pm me that you'd like to join the backup poule now, but I'll only take people seriously if they apply as a backup on the day of the tournament - 28th February.

But i would only remove bremen and perhaps frostbite and add Missile_B4 and Library_b3! It would be epic for viewers. Think about it!

I would even say that the chosen players will be quite similar to those who played the CDT 1
Taking a fast look to the signup list i can see almost 50 EC players,so the chances of an OC player to get selected are irrelevant

However, if one axis player during the match, manages to take out at least 3 allies players, only by using luger and knife, but without hitting any head, then the captain who was in both the last event and the new even, be allowed to participate as captain in the 3rd event.

I understand these POVs completely but that's not how I want it to run, I like the idea of captains fighting over the best players and making a fun tournament for spectators. that's all. this tournament wasn't made for newtalents, if they want to make it to the top they have ESL/OC and ladders to prove they're good enough.
There is a reason why allstars tournaments were hosted max once a year but if ppl enjoy watching random mixes of the same high skilled players playing 4 fun more often then maybe its me who got no clue.

also sunday is a bit problematic as it's the deadline to play ESL & CB NC games -> most of the games will be on sunday
would be more interesting if you would remove the players which played last time already
but maybe i m wrong since every one seems to be fine that they can sign up for the cup and know that captains will pic again the same players and not them

There will be registering system... Every player can register and will get his own #number
Captain will gets 6 random players (random by clicking, and system will give you some number - etc (click - #40 Artstar)
They will fight with random picked players by system ;)
I wouldn't play that cup if the system was like this. Reason I play this is because if I get picked, then I can be sure that the team is decent.
Anyway, as I see, then you recommended this system just because you know that you wouldn't get picked. So, prac hard, go pro!
No, i just recommended this because it was on Jedi Academy tournament that i was played in 2k8 and it keeps JKA alive! :)
then stray continued pathetically messaging fumble that he wants to replace Kevji in team-razz or replace razz as captain, in the end fumble agreed because he couldn't stand being spammed even though I told him to ignore every single thing stray writes but yeah that's what happened.
there's an ignore function on IRC for a purpose!
Idea would be to have 1 group/hat consisting of med+ (maximum) players which will be assigned to the 2 "skilled" players first. Depending on what class that player plays, they will choose from the remaining groups such as medic, engi, rifle, multiclasser. If the 2 skilled players get a "med+" rifle assigned to them from that group, then they would skip picking from the rifle group and just get players assigned to them from the medic, engi, multiclasser hat. There will be no picking/choosing the players, it will all be done randomly like picking a name out of a hat.
But yeah, hopefully you have a good concept figured out! Definitely interested to see how it'll turn out and it's great to get more of the community involved.
