The Venue

The venue is located at H20 (Rabo Esports Stadium): Spinnekop 2-3, 1444 GN Purmerend.

For people coming by car, we are happy to announce that there are supposed to be a sufficient number of parking spots right in front of the venue. You can take a look for yourself by clicking the link above and using the street view option that Google Maps offers. People coming by train should aim for the local train station that goes by the name of Purmerend Overwhere, which is less than 1 kilometer away by foot. Coming by bus? Please aim for the bus station: Koogsingel (in Purmerend), which is less than 400 meters away by foot.
Please note that the Netherlands offers a very well-designed and easy-to-use application for your phone: 9292. If you intend to use public transport during your stay, please install this app to make things much easier.

We kindly ask anyone attending the venue to be careful with all equipment. If something is damaged, please inform an admin or the staff from h20 before proceeding. Please note that food and drinks are NOT allowed in the gaming area. In case someone violates what is considered to be normal behavior, we reserve the right to exclude anyone from the venue without further notice.

The PCs in the venue are meant for Enemy Territory matches only. Do not use any of the PCs without the permission of the admins. The seats are fixed in advance. For that reason, there is no need to rush to the PCs for setup. If you do not know which PC is allocated to you, please ask an admin.

Smoking is only permitted outside the venue.

For further questions during the LAN, we will try to help as much as we can.

Equipment

We will provide:
  • Thirty PCs (GTX 1660 Super, Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB ram) with Windows 10, Enemy Territory and Teamspeak installed on it
  • Thirty 27 Inch, 1440p, 240Hz screens
  • Optional keyboard and mouse
  • A chair and a table
This means that you have to bring anything else you require to play the game, e.g., your config. We would like to advise you to email yourself your config and hud.dat and just swap these files at the LAN to have a quicker setup. If you have to install drivers or software for your mouse or other peripherals, please bring those that are compatible with Windows 10. We demand that you uninstall your drivers, config and hud.dat after you play your games to ensure that other players' setup does not get delayed by your drivers!

Draft Cup on LAN

Ever wanted to compete with your favorite idol on a LAN? This is your chance! We have the unique opportunity to provide you with an extra event during this LAN. We have more PCs available compared to previous LANs, and due to the intended formats, we will require less setup time between games. Hence, spare time is available to us on Friday evening where we would like to run a draft cup.

The costs to sign up for the Draft Cup is 20 euros per player. In return, you will get to participate on Friday evening in a draft tournament. During the evening, four teams will get drafted, meaning that you'll participate in three matches matches. We try to aim for a BO4 format per match. Meaning that draws are permitted. After the draft cup is finished, a final ranking will be published to show which players are crowned Draft Champions.

The 3on3 and 6on6 tournament format

3on3:

We have Europe 'xD Trickjump, Europe dETi Belgium v56, Europe viSual, Europe Sharpe Instinct, Finland Cat in a hat, Italy SDC, Europe OG signed up for the 3on3 LAN event. From talking to individuals, the interest in the format is significant. Players have initially focussed on the 6on6 format, but are now trying to create 3on3 teams as well. The maximum amount of teams that we allow is ten, more realistically is that we aim to have eight 3on3 teams.

We strive to have one big group consisting of all 3on3 teams, where all teams play each other in the group stage round robin in a BO2 game, followed by an 8 team single elimination Play Off system.

The estimated schedule of the tournament will be as follows, an exact and detailed outlike will follow in the second week of May once the final number of participants is confirmed:
  • Friday, 26th of May, 09:00 CET: Set up time
  • Friday, 26th of May, 10:00 CET: Group stage, Round 1 (BO2)
  • Friday, 26th of May, 10:45 CET: Group stage, Round 2 (BO2)
  • Friday, 26th of May, 11:30 CET: Group stage, Round 3 (BO2)
  • Friday, 26th of May, 12:15 CET: Group stage, Round 4 (BO2)
  • Friday, 26th of May, 13:00 CET: Group stage, Round 5 (BO2)

6on6:

Currently, we have Finland Cat in a Hat Europe Elysium Europe exile Europe infeCted Europe OG Europe Opus Magnum Italy SCS Belgium v56 signed up for the 6on6 LAN event. Based on discussions with individuals, it appears that an eighth team is still a possibility, as some top players are trying to form an additional team. Based on the latest talks, another, additional, Polish team is also a possibility. We encourage the community to work together to create that eighth team. Regardless of the final number of participants, we are excited to offer the community the most intense 6on6 LAN tournament to date. With 30 available PCs, we've developed a format that aims to improve both quality and quantity.

On Saturday, the Challenger Group will begin, consisting of the lower five seeded teams. These teams will compete for a spot in the Champion Group, which will follow immediately after the initial group stage. The Champion Group will consist of the top four OR five teams. On Sunday, the playoffs will commence. If there are eight teams, we will have two different playoff divisions: the Champion Playoffs and the Challenger Playoffs. If there are only seven teams, there will be one playoffs division for all teams.

Weekly ODCs

Starting this week, we plan to host weekly One Day Cups (ODCs) on Sundays. Since we have a different method for the group stage than previous LANs, we no longer require a Seeding Tournament. Therefore, after consulting with the team captains, we have decided to replace it with weekly ODCs.

The following moments are potential dates for ODCs:
  • Sunday, 16th of April, 19:00/20:00 CET
  • Sunday, 23rd of April, 19:00/20:00 CET
  • Sunday, 30th of April, 19:00/20:00 CET

  • Sunday, 21st of May, 19:00/20:00 CET

"I am in need of a team"

As the LAN event approaches, we would like to remind players that there are still some individuals looking for teams to join. We have updated the #looking-for-a-team channel on Discord and removed all outdated names. If you are still interested in participating in the LAN event and are looking for a team, please update your status in the channel.

Coverage

Moving forward, we will aim to provide the community with weekly interviews featuring different captains and players from each team. If you have any suggestions for the content you would like to see, please share your ideas by commenting on this post!

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or suggestions about the LAN! We can be reached on discord or through a Crossfire PM.
