The Allstars heat up!

image: euallstars1For any doubters of the quality of games the Allstars event would provide, last night surely quelled any lingering negativities.

Three epic battles were staged, heros were reborn, egos smashed, and all was highly amplified by the superb radio coverage provided by Radio iTG and Team-Zenith Radio.

3 games on show again tonight, including the highly anticipated encounter between the as yet both unbeaten Europe West and Europe North, with the North riding high after their victories against the South, and most notably their clawing win over the East, in which Finland Saintt made such a last minute objective steal (and got Kee_RinG rather excited!). Don't discredit the West however, word on the street is they've been practicing hard, and are prepared to fight until the proverbial bitter end in order to achieve victory.

Matches:
19:00 CET - West vs South 4:0 West
20:30 CET - South vs East 1:3 East
22:00 CET - West vs North 0:4 North

Coverage available:
As of yet, GamesTV.org reports 1900 ETTV slots are available, continuing their exemplary coverage. However, don't be suprised to see that figure rise!

Radio iTG present the return of United Kingdom Kee_RinG, something which put a smile on many an ET player's face when they heard the news, and imagined the prospect of more all-singing (and er, all dancing) shows. By his side is the ever brilliant United Kingdom TosspoT, and together they present all of the action to you. Be sure to tune in!

Unfortunately, Germany FlyingDJ is unavailable, "off to his parents' home today", so no other known German shoutcasts are available. However, I heard that Toss does quite a good Angela Merkel impression!

Let's hope tonight can keep pace with the mammoth entertainment last night has already given us!

Upcoming Games & ETTv - GD / OC / EC

One game tonight presented by the GamersDatabase guys, still trying to prove their worth on the 'gaming scene'. Such is the setup of the competition that tonight's result would seem a foregone conclusion.

Former EC runners-up Israel insanity have fallen a long way, after peaking in that memorable game imortalised by sock's 'Welcome to ET', whilst Estonia idle are still riding on the crest of a wave, and still seem the team most favoured to go on and take the Eurocup crown.

Date: Tonight, 7th December 2005
Time: 20:00
League: GamersDatabase ET

Confirmed ETTv: Link

Eurocup time now, and tonight's other game sees two teams hoping to raise their profiles to something near what they were before:
Germany pstarZ vs United Kingdom SoF

Moving onto Thursday, we see the ever busy Estonia idle take on Germany Beta, and Germany Instant-Defeat against Russia Zenith Black, two matchups which in principle seem again, one sided, but have the potential to swing either way.

Sunday however sees the return of four other high-profile games, all of which form to give a great weekend's coverage, with plenty to choose from:

Finland Gods.inc vs Spain wArning - EC -
Finland uQuest vs Europe remedium - EC -
Europe helix.et vs United Kingdom one4one - EC -
Estonia sYnc vs Finland angelDust - OC -

and on Monday:
Germany pstarZ vs Spain wArning
Confirmed ETTv: Link

Currently only the god/wA game has confirmed ETTv out of the Sunday games, but stay tuned to GamesTV for future developments.

North Pole Cup?

[img|left]http://img473.imageshack.us/img473/5115/np1di.jpg[/img]
"A what cup? ;\" I hear you say. Well that's right, there is one, and it's looking for signups.

From what I remember it [Northpole] is a Christmas themed map by Drakir, with firing cannons, reindeer, a tram, Christmas star, and of course a ZZ Top grammophone <3. It was an enjoyable aside for a bit, obviously never making into competition, which might present a few problems, but overall a nice way to spend Christmas day after your aunt knits you another maroon jumper. So anyway it looks like this cup could be a humourous end to a good year for ET.

Homepage is up here, and thankfully you can turn that horrible music off! :O>

Eurocup aspirations for #sprd

image: sd4kt
With the Eurocup looming, some are leaving it late to finalise their rosters and set up. rbnt asked me to write a little smth for him:

The clan formerly known as #remedium have, only a few minutes ago, accepted an offer to join the international gaming outfit Spreading Death, and are now in full preparation for the impending Eurocup of which they have qualified for already.

The lineup reads:

Netherlands rbnt (cl)
Estonia SpY
Germany freak
Sweden blaze
Finland twidi
Germany senti
Germany humM3L

Only time will tell what the future holds!
Good luck to all involved :O>

Opencup Shapes Up

image: et_ocfall With the annoucement of the Opencup 6o6 & 3o3 groups due out today, the maplist is certainly causing some controversy having been annouced yesterday. Add to this a change in the rules and the Opencup has already grabbed many people's attention.

lunaJ writes:
After we decided the first 5 maps for this OpenCup, we have let the community decide the 6th and the 7th one. This was done by the newspost on Tuesday 25th of October below this one, and by a poll afterwards. ET_ice jumped out votes, and the ones following were so close to each other that we decided to run a poll. As all of you can see et_beach came out as the winner, so the maps for this OpenCup are
* Braundorf_b4
* et_beach
* et_ice
* Radar
* Supplydepot2
* SW_Goldrush_TE
* SW_Oasis_b3

[img|left]http://www.clanbase.com:8000/rules_blue.gif[/img]Amoungst the rule changes comes the removal of the ever-changing in popularity wildcard, and of course the requirements of players guids (which shouldn't be used but hey) :O>.
