Global ruleset confirmed!

After much contraversy, many upsets and heaps of whine, ClanBase, i3D, ESL, Enemy Down, dignitas & i32 have finally come to an overall agreement on a consistent ruleset to be used for 6v6 competition. Many people hope that this will suffice until the release of the ETQW sdk, when rules may be reconsidered. Hopefully future tournaments run by other leagues will choose to use this ruleset for the sake of the community also. Admins agree that the ruleset is not overly complicated, and hope that matches will continue to go as well if not better than they currently are. The rules are as follows:

Vehicles
NO Aircrafts Allowed (does not include Icarus).
Maximum 1 Heavy Vehicle per team.
Maximum 1 Medium Vehicle per team.
Heavy Vehicles include: Cyclops, Desecrator and Titan.
Medium Vehicles include: Hog and Trojan APC.

Heavy vehicles are not allowed during the last objective, even if you were using the vehicle during the objective was enabled. You have to leave the vehicle.

Weapons
Maximum 1 Sniper Rifle/Railgun per team.

Deployables
Maximum 1 of each turret per team (Anti Vehicle Turret / Anti Personel Turret / Artillery Interceptor Turret).
Maximum 1 artillery deployable per team.
NO Radar Allowed (includes the usage of 3rd Eye Camera).

The maplist is yet unchanged, and consists of:
Area22
Ark
Island
Refinery
Salvage
Sewer
Volcano

ocrana presenting QW

On the 28. September it will be offical in stores. The beta test is still running at fullspeed with big events also incoming. Ocrana didn't miss what was going on and is happy to announce the new Ocrana Enemy Territory: Quake Wars Team!. After the success of the game at Quakecon 2007, the enthusiasm of the players and the latest news from the Games Convension, Ocrana took their Enemy Territory Quake Wars Team. Headed by Julian "Fox" Sander and Christian "hackbard" Krischan the team will try to reach their way to the top of the ladders and cups. Most of the team has already played comparable games in the past such as Battlefield 1942 / 2 or Enemy Territory, in clans like pod virtual gaming, dignitas, mousesports or rize gaming. The lineup, formerly known as cause we can is as follows:

Germany Julian "FoX" Sander
Germany Christian "hackbard" Krischan
Germany Mathias "Morix" Zander
Germany Hauke "pumu"
Germany Michael "sledGe" Schnell
Germany Florian "Sgt.Ozzy" Busenbach
Germany Carsten "x-ray" Hesse
Germany Markus "acemachine"

:: After we founded "cause we can" we always had the goal to join a clan who can give us the support and the environment to play concentrated. During the last weeks the chat got more and more intensive with ocrana and at the end it was a easy choice for us to join them. We are proud to play in such an old well known clan and hope to reach the goals we have in quake wars with ocrana now.

junk52 presents QW

Today Junk52 Theatre is proud to present to you their new ET:QW team. After their recent inactivity they felt it was time to get back into E-sports. They decided to rebuild their community and organization, and with the current state of e-sports, an ET:QW team is important! So we contacted Tim "StrykY" Wouters as he was looking for a new team to join. We asked him if he was interested in building a new team for us.

He found this an interesting option and contacted some players to see what was possible. After several weeks of recruiting / trialling several players - he found players from the W:ET scene as-well as from the BF scene. He decided that this would be the best line-up.

So without further waiting we present to you Junk52.ETQW

Netherlands Tim "StrykY" Wouters - Team Captain
Belgium Bart "Jaede" Van Remortele (ex hMg)
Sweden Martin "dohfOs" Lunden (ex hMg)
Sweden Erik "Guru" (ex hMg)
Denmark Mike "Dranzer" Bysing (ex xGx)
Germany Sebastian "asmogan" Jenke (ex TIER)

QuoteI would like to thank Junk52|Liame for inviting me to junk52 to create this new line-up. It took a while before i managed to create a line-up witch will fit the requirements of Junk52. But with this line-up i think i managed to pull this off. We will do our very best to win as much as we can. Our aim is to belong with the best of Europe. I would like to thank the junk52 organization once more for backing us up with the support we need!

QuoteAfter the new reorganization of junk, we had a hard way of going. We needed new managers and teams - also alot of motivation. As the motivation was born, we got new managers, new stuff at least new teams. Now junk52 can say that we are a brand and a professional multigaming clan. We are very glad about the new etqw players. They are very kind and skilled guys. We`re looking optimistically in the future a big "thank you" to stryky, asmogan, guru, jaede, dohfOs, dranzer.

hardMethod.ETQW lineup:
Netherlands Jesse 'Lukos' Huijskes
Netherlands Daan 'Longbow' Stelder
Netherlands Simon 'ViPer' Nolden
Netherlands Thomas 'Janus' Bernink
Belgium Bart 'Jaede' Van Remortele
Sweden Martin 'dohfOs' Lundén
Sweden Erik 'Guru' Staffans
United Kingdom Adam 'adP' Parkes
Germany Alexander 'merola' Merola

hMg Co-Chief Executive Officer Belgium Pavo gave the following statement:
Quote"It is with great pleasure that i can welcome the ETQW team to hMg. This team has a great attitude to move forward and becoming better. I'm confident that they will succeed. We look forward to working with this team and hopefully it's a long term agreement."

Player of the new ETQW team Netherlands ViPer gave the following statement:
Quote"I'm very happy that hMg invited us to be their Enemy Territory: Quake Wars squad, especially before the game has even hit the shelves. After talking to Pavo for a couple of days we came to an agreement that we think will benefit both parts. I truly believe hMg will give us the right support. Some of us old BF2-players knew Pavo from before so we know we can trust him. With the release of the actual game just ahead of us we have much to look forward to and I'm sure we can accomplish great things both online and offline wearing the hMg-tag!"

The lineup is rather big with its 9 players but that's pretty much due to the fact we're still in the beta-phase. The lineup consist mostly of old BF2, CoD and CSS-players. Best accomplishment so far is the 4th place in the 4on4 cup hosted by The Last Resort where we lost vs. Japan lolicon in the Bronze-final. In the CB Beta Cup we were knocked out in the quarterfinals by the runner-up's Germany cause after having to play with just 5 due to vacation issues. However the team does hope for more achievements in the shortly due cups.
