Rockit - The Final Changes

image: 386514HMP2024With the Antwerp eSport Festival just around the corner our Enemy Territory team is doing it's last lineup fixtures. Tonight we are proud to announce the final lineup for the upcoming offline event in Belgium and with an oldschool teammate returning to the team as well as the addition of one of Finland`s finest players rockit.ET is finally set up for the competiton. The team around Switzerlandgifty will prepare as best as possible and with all of their lan experience we are looking forward to an interesting tournament with 24 of European`s top teams attending. Joining the team will be an old teammember of gifty and a long time friend of the whole team. We hereby happily welcome Netherlandsabort and FinlandMatias.

For the final lineup and a short statement Read More[/b]]
  • Netherlands rockit abort
  • Switzerland rockit gifty
  • Finland rockit Matias
  • Spain rockit Winghaven
  • Germany rockit zerender

QuoteWith just 16 days untill the event we were able to find a suited replacement for snoop and dialer and with our first praccs just finished we are confident in giving a good challange to all other top teams out there. After Germany sNoOp lost his motivation and Poland dialer just found out that his girlfriend wanted to spend some holidays short before the event he was unable to cover enough money for the lan trip so we just lost two good players but with abort contacting me and Matias coming out of nowhere we are motivated like hell to establish a really good performance and we will take use of the remaining days to increase our teamplay day by day. Thanks to the whole Team Rockit management as well as our sponsors YCN Hosting, N1Ping, EU Shells and XCite! - image: ch gifty

Summer Cup + AEF Config changes

As many might have noticed, when ClanBase decided to host a Summer Cup for the community, in 2on2, 3on3 & 5on5 format, we decided to test new stuff, scripts, new maps, config changes, since it is Summer and some change is always nice, rather than the same boring stuff you play day in and day out for your whole ET "career". With AEF coming, the ET.Committee needed to test these changes in a cup with a large userbase, and with Summer Cup right before the lan, it was ideal to get feedback from it.

Changes proposed by the ClanBase Team include the following:

Config changes
  • Warmup countdown has been increased from 10 to 15 seconds.
  • b_simpleitems has been unlocked again (update will be released on sunday)

Mapscript changes
  • karsiah.script fix - the South documents are protected with a door which will be automatically opened after the allies secure the North documents
  • sw_oasis_te - a forward spawn for allies has been added. The flag in the middle bunker cannot be recaptured
  • caen - axis(attacking team) spawntime 20, allies(defending team) spawntime 30
    - once the gate is blown, is is not constructable anymore
    - after axis construct the command post, they can spawn inside the church
    - tank barrier has been removed
    - when the tank is escorted to it's final place, axis can spawn near the boat
    - landmines reduced from 4 to 3 on caen (sunday)

Changes proposed by the ET.Committee include the following:
  • rifle grenades have been increased from 3 to 4
  • Snipers have been reduced to 1, you can still have unlimited coverts. (to be released on sunday, unless the script keeps on giving problems)
  • Supply main rockjump has "theoretically" been removed, it's no longer possible to jump over it as of yet
  • Supply satchel bug to destroy the crane controls has been fixed
  • Nading from outside east to the inside of the "Upper defense" bug is now fixed

The long awaited EuroCup XXI - Semi Final between United KingdomDignitas and BelgiumOverload is finally here, ET-Rankings winner Dignitas will face Overload who has been listed as the third best clan in ET, but this ranking has been taken 2 months ago, and both teams have had lineup changes, Dignitas have lost EstoniaNight due to army while Overload have correctly dismissed Belgiumvila & Belgiumzeto. After these changes, both teams looked a little bit shaky, but both teams have had some time to get back into shape and it will be an intense battle between the two clans to pass to the Upper Bracket Final and face the reigning champions, FinlandFintastic 5.

Alienware Challenge Week 1 Voting

After throwing the lucky four contestants in the deep end and assigning them to find the "things that are unknown to most and bring us the human interest stories that matter" at the ESWC global finals, it is now time to decide who best performed in that task.

That decision will come down to you, the public voters, who have been following the exploits of the Alienware four as they backpack around Europe in a bid to win $5,000 and an Alienware M1x laptop.
The winner and runner-up of the public vote will not only be presented with extra money into their budget for that week, $150 and $100 respectively, but it will also go towards determining who wins the grand prize.

This week the challenge facing the contestants will be to learn more about street performers and street artists.

As it says on the Alienware Challenge website:
QuoteWe would like to see our contestants go out and meet the most interesting street performers they can find and blog about it. We want the contestants to learn about these street performers and let us know their stories. Ultimately, we would like each contestant to also go out and “learn the trade” from one of them, taking over the role of a street performer/artist and entertaining random pedestrians and bystanders in the streets. With a plethora of options available to them, ranging from musically inspired artists to painters, jugglers, card tricks, acrobatics, comedy, mime, living statues the contestants are sure to get some interesting stories for us to read this week.

Those of you who wish to cast your votes can do so here.

Before voting be sure to read through and watch the videos in each of the contender's blogs.

The first match from the Lower Bracket will be played tonight, in the ESL Major Series Playoffs. These teams will have to give their best to remain in this competition and to achieve a big performance by getting in top 3. The other match from the Lower Bracket was forfeited by Europenulli secundus, being very inactive and because they were not able to line up 5 players. Tough luck!

The first team that is eager to win this match is EuropezeroE. FiF. They made a great achievement at CC6 by entering the top 5. Since then, they are performing very decent, but they promise to surprise us tonight. If they can do it or not, we shall see. Here's what one of their players had to say about their latest performance and about their opponents:
