CODQCUP Semi-Finals - MYM vs eSuba

After the usual dull and boring Champions League games that never quite deliver we return to the exciting world of Call of Duty 4 where overtimes, aces and clutch plays are rampant.

22:15 CET 24th April - MeetYourMakers vs eSuba - Best of Three, Backlot Decider[/u]

United Kingdom MeetYourMakers managed to cruise through the quarter-finals against Germany Snogard after being bombed out the Clanbase Eurocup XVII by Finland Epsilon. With no EMS for them either this really is the last of the online competitions for them to win before the summer.

Czech Republic eSuba have played well throughout the competition with good wins over Germany Speed-Link and Benelux Sample This in the last 2 rounds. They struggled in the Eurocup though, winning only 1 of their games and finishing 3rd in the group. Tonight will also be there last shot at an online cup before the summer.

EuroCup: OVERLOAd beats Kirwa

image: ecbw4

OVERLOAd 4 : 0 Kirwa

I don't know about where you guys are, but down here the weather just keeps getting better and better and my regret for promising I'd cover the entire EuroCup on crossfire keeps getting bigger and bigger =). No time for whining though, tonight there is another big game on schedule in the form of Belgium OVERLOAd versus Europe Kirwa as well as a second game for group D.

Yesterday Germany MegaProGaming once again proved too strong for their opponents as they made Finland Incomplete! bow out of the season with a 4-0 loss. This means that we now have our first finished group, namely A. MPG have very easily and convincingly made their way through the groupstage winning all of their games without losing a single round. Second through came Netherlands Team CoolerMaster who were significantly less convincing as they won only played two matches (Europe 8bits unfortunately had to fold from the EuroCup) and won only one of those two.
They will be back in the playoffs nonetheless though and perhaps they will be able to improve their game before their time comes again.

Concentrating on tonight again, as said there are two games on schedule; Belgium OVERLOAd versus Europe Kirwa Kirwanderin Kirwurit definitely being the match of the evening, and Europe ephix hardboys, who have quite some catching up to do, will be playing versus Poland Fear-Factory Xfi.

EuroCup: Incomplete vs MPG

image: ecbw4

EDIT: MPG 4 - 0 Incomplete!

After last night's shocking display where three out of four EuroCup matches were rescheduled tonight will offer a bit more certainty as there is only one game to be played which is Germany MegaProGaming versus Finland Incomplete!

The one game that was played yesterday was highBot versus n1ce where the latter managed to grab a win so as to finish third in their group. Arguably, Germany highBot had already sort of given up on Enemy Territory EuroCup and were more involved with their Wolfenstein game later on that evening but not to take anything away from Europe n1ce as they came through with a nice and clean 4-0 win.

That was then though and tonight there is something entirely different on schedule as the very last groupmatch for group A is to be played. The Finns of Finland Incomplete! will have no alternative but to win their game tonight if they are still planning to go to the playoffs. If they do, they will have come up on top of Netherlands Team CoolerMaster by points. Whether they will be able to do so has yet to be seen as their opponent for this evening is not one to take lightly...

Deman does CODQCUP

Not quite in the same way that Debbie does Dallas but almost as exciting!....No really, as tonight is the CODQCUP Semi-Finals! Yay I hear you cry, as well you should with the decider map as Backlot this best of 3 match up might well go all the way!

CODQCUP Semi-Finals - 21:30 CET 21st April - KomaCrew vs Reason - Best of 3

Netherlands KomaCrew's newly acquired Call of Duty team from DCC-Gaming are certainly on a hot streak at the moment and are very much the online on form team capable of beating just about everyone. They've topped their Eurocup group with ease and pushed aside Finland Epsilon last night who themselves were on a winning streak. Possibly the favourites for me tonight but only just!

United Kingdom Reason have had some tough games of late picking up a late win against Czech Republic eSuba but ending bottom of their Eurocup group. In the CODQCUP though they have looked strong but with their home map as the decider they will not have an almost guarenteed map win. However I expect them to push it all the way tonight and United Kingdom Juszn and his team will need a strong performance to reach the finals.

EuroCup: Sunday ET evening

image: ecbw4

After a rather long break of three days it is time to get things back on track and round up the group stages. There are quite a fair few matches still to be played and in theory they all need to played by the end of the next matchweek. Tonight will be no exception as there are three matches scheduled to be played over the course of this evening.

The groupstages are starting to draw to an end and for group C and D we can even already tell which two teams are to advance to the playoffs, although which one will come out on top is not quite written in stone yet.

No one will be left out tonight as there is a very action packed evening ahead of us, here is an overview of what to expect:

Quadv's Sunday Night Coverage

Tonight we look to both the Clanbase EuroCup XVII and the Live2Win finals in 2 matches that could spell the end of the road for tonights teams in each competition.

Clanbase EuroCup XVII - 20:00CET 20th April - Epsilon vs MYM - District, Backlot

United Kingdom MeetYourMakers need to win tonight to reach the knockout stages or those gaming vouchers will be out of reach forever! United Kingdom Morg will no doubt have to pull out a William Wallace style speach to stir them into action tonight as their opponents are playing well.

Finland Epsilon recently beat Germany SK-Gaming and Czech Republic Necroraisers in the CODQCUP and have already defeated Slovenia Intense in the group stages so a win tonight will place them top and qualify for the knockout stages. They are a dangerous outfit with something to prove and might just have what it takes to topple the plucky brits

Live2Win Consilation Final - 22:00CET 20th April - Fnatic vs Bangin it euorstyle - Crash

Sweden Fnatic have looked better as the competition has gone on, starting slow but always finishing strong. In some very close games against United Kingdom MYM, United Kingdom ephix and Czech Republic DEFEATERS they have battled against adversity and came through everytime. In Sweden zsilts final tournament for the team expect to see him raging the opposition tonight on crash.

Europe Bangin it eurostyle have called upon J4ni to replace Sweden Linqan who joined Sweden Fnatic the other week. J4ni played well though despite his team losing in a tough match vs United Kingdom MYM in the week. They lack a sniper though and that may be their undoing tonight as they face Sweden Mintr.
