It's just been the two year anniversary since ETPro 3.2.6 was released (18th September 2006) and by the look of it, it's going to be the last ETPro release before ET eventually dies.
Do you think that the mod has had it's day or should it be revived because there are still bugs that need to be fixed?

e:2 i talked to chaplja and he said he won't be doing major changes, nothing special the anti-cheat is the highest priority, but they might unlock some cvars or arrange some bugs, not sure though. but yeah, arranging / unlocking some cvars would be nice .

I don't think etpro needs to die, just needs a new coder. Problem is, I doubt bani is willing to give up the etpro sourcecode to just anyone.
well, gamedevs are superiour beings and usually know better then the ppl who actually play their games hardcore!

+edit and add more crosshairs, or modify the old corsshairs to get them working with a bit tweaked graphic card settings :p
+edit and don't unlock the cvar that adjusts player model brightness
altho saying that i love et as it is at the moment anyway so i'm not especially fussed
i love the pronedelay.
and i love that it is only used on lol-american servers anymore.

remove grenadetrail, panzertrail, support dual core, maxpackets 125. improved netcode and integrated direct input

The current bots shouldnt run with an eventually new EtPro version^^ gonna be intersting whose skill drops down to zero after update^^
I just don't see how redeveoping/updating ETPRO will be worth the effort when "wolfenstein" could just be round the corner. Judging by the rest of the community/"SAVE ET" projects it probably could take anything over 6months to redevelop the mod.
On the other hand, if someone can actually get the mod done fast and efficiently.. well then i see no problem.
as we see they always tell the truth and some retards really believe them
there are some features that need to be looked at (anti-lag, hitboxes).
also, we need some new competition configs that restrict spam (especially rifles).
or we could just remove rifles completely and make this a superb game, instead of just a good one!

- spawning with wrong weapon
- cant pick up guns at some places like near trucks and tanks
- hearing cp being build like its right next to u sometimes when u are far away from it (happens only with s_volume 0.8 i guess)

Like others said , there are still a bunch of rather annoying bugs
Hitbox for high pings should be more accurate too as it just sucks playing against such guys
- no faces at all / high fps models like in cs 1.6 (that is just so nice...)
- ugly trucks & tanks & command posts & barriers & everything :P
- uber high fps models and uber low quality textures for weapons [even for mines and satchels and everything]
- 100% invisible smg bullets
the other thing i want is allowing prone again, don't think it would make such a big difference anymore. (and ofc this is rather server config related)
dual core support and better hitboxes would be nice.
remove the sten's overheating. remove scoped fg42 recoil completely. increase scoped k43 damage by up to 1.5X [and block all sniper scripts]
perharps more trickjump support [pmove_fixed 1 or something better]
oh and ofc. akimbo pistols ftw! give it to soldiers and coverts by default as alternative weapon
anyway, most of the changes you said would be imbalanced, especially 1.5x dmg on scope. you could take down a medic in 2-3 bodyshots, which are easy to make.
and sniper scripts still do work btw :D some people even use(d) it @ officials without any kind of consequences...
if we would implent all of them at once now, everybody would start crying how much the game has changed n stuff........ (like with 5on5. people would switch back fast to what they are used to)
however enabling them one by one would be amazing. this is why i'm saying that coding them should have been started something around 3 years ago - at least...........................
or at least give an option that you can switch them on or off!
+ do something about the hitboxes :x they seem to be fairly shit at certain times...
and i wish they would bring back the skill rewards for competetitive play ;(

There have been fixes made in the latest code trunk supposedly but it's a complete guess if they'll ever see the light of day
