Hidden the votes, are people too shy to comment? o0
if there wernt any good sides you wouldnt be here
iit just improved my englishskills :P
cuz that was the question in my journal tbh
The big thing that swings it for me personally (taking the question generally) is that Crossfire has given me a HUGE amount of project management experience running LANs, which probably helped me get my job and certainly made me more confident.
Right now I'm doing computational fluid dynamics modelling of the secondary air duct system feeding into the burner windboxes in order to assess the effectiveness of the aerofoils we use to measure air flowrate.
Kinda impressive ;p
but then again... a "better person" like in the headline of the poll? nowai...
(just like ati_ said)
u know wut i mien?
EDIT: Also, I've learned to have far more patience and tolerance of ignorant retards.
well that is something.. ;D
Case closed.
ITS SIMPLE, I'M THE BEST :D

Voted 'no' in case you didn't already understand.
but actually im still the whiner
then I crossfire'd
retarded people love crap so they will automatically respond to it.. so getting 100+ comments isn't THAT hard in this community..
The most negative thing we "learn" from crossfire is prejudice.
I see words like "nigger", "jew", "polak" used in a negative context way too often here. And no matter how much I despise seeing it, the constant exposure to it makes me just don't care about it anymore. In that sense it has made me a worse person.
racist bastard
:D
and i met a lot of ppl who gave me a lot of useful infos..
my english improved a bit :D
gaming as a whole, probably :)
thought it was impossible
On the other hand it has left me with this wonderful sense of superiority which I carry with me in my everyday life and it has given me the mantra I use every time life is pushing me down: "At least I'm way better than the Crossfire users".
I mean you learn something from every situation, whatever you are doing... but most content on crossfire is just random spam, doesnt really make you a better person. :p
And now that I mostly quit crossfire and ET I realize that there actually ARE people at my age outside the door.
But I know everything about Polaks now... And I'm scaried to go outdoors...
:>

- got answers to a lot of my questions, so i have more knowledge
- without cf i would have never found out about icanhascheezburger.com!
my english got worse though. mainly because there are no persistent grammar rules on crossfire. playing with anim was a bad thing too, his english is so bad, damn those canadians.
fuckin sunroofs.
now i know the difference between good & bad. Crossfire have given me a new life courage, i do know longer fear death or pain.
