Do we need a new 3on3 channel?

#3on3.et - has been the place to go to find a 3on3 match since 2003, for 8 years everyone who ever searched a 3on3 will remember to go back here, switching to a new channel could affect the activity of this game and especially make a difference to new people coming to etpro as it's also common knowledge in non-competitive ET that the warchannels are #3on3.et. As of now, there are no issues surrounding admin abuse and such from this channel, following Estonia

#et.3on3 - following Kamz attempt to make a new 6on6 channel, for reasons such as "admins were banning players in the last channel" - he has begun creating a new channel for the 3on3 scene in an attempt to make a cheater free channel. of comments that have been written on crossfire so far, the current 3on3 channel is fine BUT there always was the issue of cheaters searching for IRC wars. The real question is whether or not Kamz and Goku can live up to this, especially without abusing the bans he makes as I have read about people being banned from #et.6on6 for reasons unknown.

This has caused too much drama in the past. Especially when someone like Kamz enforces an Iceman like hostility towards the sister channel.

I am content with the current channel I have never had an issue there. If there was one needed, I would like a different admin to create it apart from Kamz

Sounds like a good reason to create new channel but you really cant have people like Kamz in charge.

We already have shitloads of channels and since et community is so little right now, what we need is the suspension of all this channels.
Instead of this, we should get a #ET.wars or some similar name. It should be a unique channel to agglomerate et.merc, 1v1 2v2 3v3 5v5 6v6 the clanless channel and everything et related. Why?
- Because most people do /ame so it doesn't really matter if you are at 3v3 channel, you will see some people asking for 6v6 there etc etc. Since the community is small and the spam created by this is not that big, i would say it would work perfectly.

m4x is the original founder of 3on3.et, Kennie was part of the EGL m4x was trying to launch. Other than that I can't fight against them 2, m4x obviously gave him the access to his account and therefore Kennie removed my access. Evilynn and faky where whining about their ops being gone (though they were not active for the last 3-4 months at least).

If as much effort is spent on keeping the et.xonx channels clean as was spent on advertising them, I'd be glad to migrate. Earlier it seemed like another standard attention whoring project, but I hope they'll prove otherwise.

the admins @ #3on3.et have a script coming (a bot) that will ban all people who are banned on leagues. obviously they can ban people themselves by rightclick name -> kickban, which they'll do as well I'm sure.

How is having admins different from having a bot when it comes to webchat etc.? every half decent cheater uses either a static ip or a proxy so regardless of who you put in charge, you will never ban every cheater there is.
