Proccessor AMD Sempron(tm) Processor 2800+ 1.6 GHz
Memory: 1055 mb

I am getting bored of ET
Tryed ETQW and my ping + fps sucks @ it so I am not playing that
I think about going to play CoD2
what vid card goes well with it


EDIT#2: Vid cards that got my attention: PowerColor X1950 Pro Xtreme [X1950PRO 256MB VIVO] and 7900GTO

I also need a nice cfg for Cod2, I got no exp @ cod2 tweaking :o)

Also: Some suggestions for my system?

8800 gts would be obvious although Geforce 9 series will be out soon aswell as new Ati cards

Well for around 225 you could buy a Pre-overclocked 7600GT / 7900GS wich are very cheap and below your budget although u may have to tone down the detail on some games, 7950GT is a better card than these but also a little dearer.
For ATI the X1950pro / X1950XT are nice cards.
All cards in your price range
I would try get a X1950XT or a 7950GT

dont buy 8600 gt/gts . rly dont

ATI x1950 pro performs much better in games, and it is cheaper

so with you budget you should try to find 8800 gts 320 mb or x1950 pro or x1950 xt/xtx but i doubt you'll find any of the xt/xtx

i'm getting an 8600gts for ~210euros, then i'll replace it when the nvidia 9 series is out. with a decent cpu and ram u're sure to get 250fps constant in cod2.

250 fps

333 is locked by PB

so...

7800gt minimum for 125-200

7950gtx for 250

8800gs wont give you 250... my friend has it :)

ull need 8800gt or gtx for 250+... something to do with current drivers i think

I have 8600 GT -> 120 fps @ QW, sometimes dropping to 90 fps, but never lower, so it is more then enough for CoD2

You should know, when u get a fast GFX card, you also need a fast CPU and RAM.

You're RAM is ok, but the CPU is to slow for a nVidia 8600 or higher.

Maybe if you realy need a new gfx card only, get a Ati 1950. That will be the highest you're system could handle.
Don't think of a Ati 2000 or nVidia 8000 series.

Why is this? When u have a fast GFX card it has it's own little CPU and RAM. But all these functions need to be directed to your main board's, and if you're CPU is to slow you're system will only get worse with a fast gfx card.
