If you have steam open go to View > Settings > In Game and unclick the "Enable Steam Community In Game". Or just turn off steam all together.

I had a problem being kicked from cod from steam, so thought it might work with your problem too.

I had the same error, and i fixed it by installing a firmware from nVidia. But this is only because i have nVidia GFX card (which bamze has too) but i run vista. The firmware is an update to vista users, not xp.

So i rly dunno either :<
